Can anyone remember a Bernard Wragg.I think he must have been a featherweight or some such weight. I have a photo of him wearing the Lonsdale belt.He was a relative of my wife. He was killed on the ship taking him out to the middle east during the second world war. -
A couple of Friends & I went on our first walk in Derbyshire yesterday 10-04-08 & thoroughly enjoyed it.We walked through the parks to Wire mill dam then up Porter Clough & then over to Stanage Edge.Ate our sandwiches then went over to Moscar Lodge, up the lane & over to Lower Bradfield ending in the Plough & had a couple of pints of Bradfield beer.Great.

A young lad went to Sunday School for the first time. When he came home his mother asked him what he thought of the lesson & if he had learned anything.I sure have he said & I am going to be the most evil person in the world. Why do you say that she asked? Because Jesus was the best person in the world & look what they did to him.(Taken from the Dalesman)

I can`t help you with that problem but if you just want to make a D.V.D. with photos & videos why not go onto Vistas D.V.D. maker. It is very easy to use.

I have problems when I install Windows Vista service pack 1.It alters a lot of the settings on my P.C. & the web pages are only half size & all the words are half size too.So I contacted Dell chat line via their internet help line.I got through in a couple of minutes and the chap was great. It is a softwear problem he said so get in touch with Microsoft and he gave me the link to do so. No chance from windows because the waiting time was 8hrs.Today the chap from Dell rang me to see if it had been resolved & I said no so he tried.Three times he rang me back with the final word being it is a driver that wants installing that has not been put on so he will call back on Monday to put things right.I thought this was great. It made me feel as if someone cares after you have bought something which is very rare in this day and age.

Made a visit to the doctor and the outcome was,I have to have an examination by a specialist. The doctor printed me a form off the computer which enabled me to book an appointment myself.By phone,by text phone or via the internet.I tried the internet but it stated that the Hallamshire were not taking any bookings at the moment. So it was the telephone next.Got through almost straight away,to a call centre on the Indian sub-continent(I think). After a great many ,I beg your pardon what did you say,the eventual outcome was that she would contact the Hallamshire & they will send me a letter. Within the next 14 days. What it will contain I do not know but I have no great expectations of my appointment being inside it.Now for the good news.I had to make another appointment at the X-Ray clinic & I phoned this evening at 19-00 got straight through and got my appointment set up for this Wednesday. If one department can do it so quickly why can`t they all.

I need a new computer. Recommend something.
lazyherbert replied to Tony's topic in Computer & Tech Chat
Go onto the Dell web page where you can build your own. -
I can`t see where PCGuard should affect your copy & paste.Open PCGuard up and see what you have running. It could be something to do with the privacy guard if you have it on.

Sorry but it was two blocks from the river.First block had the Lawrences razor blade factory on it.Then Nursery Lane(I think). Then Boltons the scrap yard then 2 houses and then the Harlequin. In the 50s when Joe Worley had it,it was the worst pint of Wards in Sheffield.
