  2. it was working fine but then i tried putting a light show over a project i downloaded and i must have tampered with some of the keys because now all the pads are jumbled up and play random parts.
  3. Sorry if this is in the wrong section My son has just brought the above product and is having difficulty getting it to work. Does anyone have experience with these that could give him a couple of starter lessons? It would be a shame for him to give up on it before he's given it a chance but its a whole new language to me!!
  4. Just wondered if anyone knows if Barking Mad is under new ownership? We've always had Michael strip our border terrier but this time he's not around. He has sensitive skin and we've been told that we should have him clipped rather than stripped and it should be done every 8-12 weeks. This seems a bit excessive and I was under the impression that borders shouldn't be clipped though I'm not sure why! Any advice?
  5. Try Hatfields on Abbeydale Road. Near Lowes
  6. The stream and water play at Millhouses Park is good on a nice day. Take a picnic to save cash Take the bus to Hathersage and walk down to Grindleford Station for a chip butty, 2 will be plenty for the 4 of you! You could get the train back Plan a scavenger hunt in the woods. Make a list of things to find before you go Geocashing at Longshaw. An easy trip on the bus Zillions of walks around Hathersage, Castleton, Grindleford Padley Gorge for a paddle. The cheapest ice cream van can be found there!! Activity Sheffield can be found in the parks, they offer all sorts from dance, football, rounders, obstacle courses etc
  7. My in-laws are wanting to travel to see their daughter in New Zealand for 6 months over our wintertime. They are 75 and amazingly fit and well They are struggling to find insurance for more than 3-4 months, the cost of that it around £2500 How do the OAPs manage to holiday abroad for the winters? Does anyone know of an insurance company who will insure them at a reasonable cost? They have tried all the obvious ones and I am surprised that Age Concern, SAGA etc are unable to help or recommend someone else
  8. Hi, I heard that it used to be a care home but has now closed. Does anyone know what it is now used for? I have heard that it seems to have lots of people in it but not of the elderly variety! I wonder if it is being used for asylum seekers or maybe squatters? I am considering moving to the area but am slightly concerned as to what it may now be
  9. Just wondered if anyone has, or knows anyone who has been to the top of the Town Hall? What is there at the top? Are there tours etc we can do?
  10. Shame you couldn't take your litter home, Sheffield city centre looked shocking after you had left. Shame on the fans who seem to think its ok to leave it in squalor:(
  11. Firstly I apologise if this is in the wrong section. My 11 year would like to do a swimming life saving course but we are struggling to find one apart from Weds at ponds Forge. It doesn't finish until 9.30 which is rather too late for her. Does anyone know anywhere else who does one?
  12. Dear all. We are in the position of choosing secondary schools. Having to decide between the 2 good schools. I have heard good and bad about both and happy to take this on face value/gossip. I guess that no school is 100% perfect!! My major concern is that my child has dyslexia. I have been told over the years that Silverdale are concerned with the bright academic, sporty children where as High Storrs have a better special needs department. Does anyone know if this is true/still the case?
  13. Hi, we have some bamboo in the front garden which has got totally out of control, it is killing the other plants and coming up through the paving! Ideally I would like to keep it as it does provide great cover and privacy but it needs taking in hand! Anybody know what I can do with it other than dig it up completely?
  14. Does anyone know where I can buy a hexbug or Kreepi in Sheffield?
