What an amazing gig - good work TTC for putting on such incredible talent for such a ridiculously cheap price. Loved it. -

Thanks will check it ouy and post my findings back here -
I'd go for New Cod on the Block if you're down that end, or the Bolehill Chip shop at the far end of Crookes high street.

Is there any coverage, youtube etc, from the "Sheffield Stood Still" event? -
Police swarming all over Crookes

Police success stories like this should be publicised a lot more, we only seem to hear negative stories about the boys (and girls) in blue. -
I find the USport gym on Northumberland road to be very good value for money - cerainly came out favourably last time I compared it with Greens.

I do prefer Division Street to West Street, but it is suffering from it's own popularity to some extent - we were in the Old House on Saturday night around 9.30 and it was packed to the rafters - it took at least 20mins to get served at the bar. It would help if there were more than 5 bar staff on, but I think the real problem was too many people in a small venue. We ended up in SOYO which turned out to be really good - a refreshingly grown up crowd and a nice venue.

Anywhere sell flatpacked sofas and chairs?
Ow-Zone replied to BradwayBee's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I got this one: http://www.nabru.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=44 about 18 months ago - and it's still in great condition (have washed the covers a couple of times) so for the price and convenience I think the quality is really good. I did have concerns before "buying without trying" but had all my questions answered promptly by the company. Assembly was pretty straightforward - it took me about an hour to constrict and there's no screwing or nailing - all of the main structure slots together. You obviously aren't going to get the same quality as if you spend 1000's from DFS or similar - but I'm certainly happy with the quality and durability for the price. -

I went with these guys: http://www.nabru.co.uk/ Very happy with the quality of the sofa - it's very comfy too. The sofa comes in component form delivered on a pallette - which was very simple to move to the desired location and assemble. I would buy from here again. -
The main roads were ok this morning - still the odd bit of black ice catching people out (especially the chelsea tractors with poor drivers and boy racers going too fast). The side roads are pretty treacherous as are the pavements. I have a powerful rear wheel drive car so haven't even attempted getting up the icy hill I live on as I know the back will slide out so I just leave it on the nearest flat side road.

Nobody Hugs a Hedgehog I don't think anyone loves me; They'll talk to me, it's true; But do they put their arms around me? No, they never do. They're always very friendly Till we get back to my place; We'll share the Emva Cream But never the embrace. Nobody hugs a hedgehog; I'm so lonely every night. Nobody hugs a hedgehog; Nobody holds me tight. I get along in conversation; It's the contact that I lack; No fingers running through my hair; No pats upon the back. No one wants to hold me; No one fulfils my need; Everyone wants to be friendly But nobody wants to bleed. Nobody hugs a hedgehog; It's a tearful little song; Nobody hugs a hedgehog; Not for very long. It never bothered me before, But you I really like; My proper name is Reginald But you can call me Spike. I'm a prickly little person; I wish I could be blunt. I'm a softie at the centre And my back is just a front. Nobody hugs a hedgehog; I never get a squeeze; Nobody hugs a hedgehog; Won't you do it? Please. By the fantastic Les Barker.
