To Rainresecue and Dawn at Haven rescue. After some scum bag tied a dog to a fence in Woodhouse today, we called the police (crap) we called the dog warden (worse) we called RSPCA (rubbish) when we had no where else to turn, we found an angel who came and took the dog. a beautiful shar-pei cross boy, how could they just leave him. I hope they cant sleep with what they have done tying him up left in the cold it's evil. thank god we have people like rain rescue and Dawn.

This is just what my OH said, we usually always have some change in the car but that day we didn't. It was just one of those things we got up that morning and instead of the usual walk around our local area we jumped in the car and went. We never thought of cash, it was just coats, hats dog do bags and lead. The post was just meant to point out that there are some decent people in Sheffield, even though we see such awful things happening. I never realised some posters would scrutinise me for having no cash.

So.... on a rare day off from work we decided to go with the dog, a walk to Graves park. It's been a long while since we last visited. Anyway we had no idea we had to pay to park, so we were thinking what will we do? A very kind gentleman gave us the money to stay!!! wow a good Samaritan, in times when we here so much misery he restored my faith in human kind. It maybe only 40p to some but this man did not have to do this, and I want to both share with you and thank this chap for his kindness. wish there were more like you!

Day services do not currently come under CQC or inspection. The best way forward is to visit the centre and make your own opinions. Ask how many years it has been open and how long the service users have been attending, if the were any issues there would be a high turn over of service users. Cambian have their own website that can assist with any enquires.

I'm very interested in having an allotment, even sharing one. I never knew there are some across the road from me just off Spa Lane at Woodhouse. Does anyone on here know who has any of these allotments? if there are any empty, how would i get to know, be ideal across from my house and right next door to my work

Aww, i know all the people mentioned in this thread. Happy memory's. I grew up there and loved it. miss the place, it was just so cool to be there and always felt safe.
