I left Yewlands in 1981, nothing special about that school! I remember Miss Coy and Mr Topham oh an Mr Fuller! My favourite teacher was Mr Hopkinson, but he probably left in about 1978. Great memories of trips to Lockerbrooke, Thornbridge and the great trip to France. Was it Mr Topham that used to do the barn dancing at lunchtimes around christmas? Oh happy days lol

Late 60s early 70s there was an 'old man' used to ride his bike with a basket on the front selling pikelets, oatcakes and scones. Used to buy off him on Foxhill Crescent. He might not have been that old, but I was just a kid and probably thought 25 was ancient!

Yewlands, left in 1980, then went to Stocksbridge college for a year.

I have my wondows cleaned once a month. Comes around on a Tuesday, never had any problems. Might be worth looking out for one when they are in the area.

I lived in Foxhill for a great number of years, but I do think its gone downhill from the rare visit I give it these days. Has anything been built on the Crescent where all the flats were demolished? Its been a while since Ive been that way.

I'll be interested in the replies, will be on the lookout for a driving instructor in this area for my daughter soon.

Do you visit any of the so called attractions in Sheffield. Art galleries, museums, Winter Gardens, etc etc Ive been to the museum at Western Park but that was years ago, I understand its jusrt reopened so am hoping to go again. Never been to the Winter Gardens or the Art Galleries, although I was say I will. Only ventured out to Chatsworth once and that was many years ago.

Have you rang your insurance company? They maybe able to help you. Lets hope it wasnt a stolen car!
