  2. I'm looking for a therapy or treatment room to rent for hypnotherapy so ideally somewhere quiet-ish although I will happily consider anything! Hoping for flexibility with renting on an ad-hoc basis but this is by no means essential and I would be very open to any offers or info! Many thanks, Gx
  3. Hi There, Have been having my nails done as a treat here and there for two years now and I think I must have the worst luck! lots of lifting, some badly fitting extensions that pinched painfully, and others that weren't so bad however weren't what I was looking for! I would really like to find somewhere that I want to go back to more than once! I like my nails to look fairly natural so usually go with gel but I am open to any recommendations here! Have just had another disaster.... I live in S7 but happy to travel Many thanks if you read this xx
  4. Hi, Can anyone recommend a really good nail technician, I would like extensions that look like my own nails! preferably gel or an acrylic that won't absolutely kill my nails! Oh, and preferably, a set of nails that last more that two days..... (i have had the worst luck recently, tried quite a few places last year and none were done right, had to remove a couple of sets myself a few days later because the tips were not fitted properly and were pinching and most recently, had nails done and the next day one popped off, followed by another... and another etc!) Thanks in advance to anyone who take the time to read this :-)
  5. I'm looking for a reputable childminder for my twin boys who are 2 in February. I am hoping to have them cared for every Friday from about 10a.m until 5.30/6ish. Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated! Many thanks
  6. Hi there, I'm a busy full time mum of 19 month old twins, trying to study a course and not managing to keep up with that or the chores because the boys are being quite demanding at the moment! I am looking at whether its possible to have some one come and look after my kids for 4-6 hours 1-3 times a week depending on what it would cost which I have absolutely no idea of of! Please, if anyone could spare a minute to give me some information on this I would be very grateful :-) Many thanks
  7. Hello I'm looking to get nail extensions but have no idea where to go or really what the difference is between acrylic/gel/silk and was wondering if anyone had a minute to clarify this and/or any good recommendation for where to go! Ideally I would like something that's going help my natural nails to strengthen and grow as they are very soft and "peely" probably because I constantly wear nail varnish and have a busy time in the house as a mum (washing up/carex/general toddler related things that tend to be hazardous for nails!) I prefer a natural look and not too thick, (if that makes sense) am hoping to have them for as long as possible and I want to be able to be able to paint them aswell....... Thankyou in advance to anyone kind enough to spare a minute for this thread
  8. thankyou all :-) I think the majority will win! Broadfield Road it is then!
  9. Hello, I need to get my car mot'd and have been looking online for reviews of local garages but not really turning up much..... Does anyone know any good, reputable honest garages around Abbeydale picture house or surrounding area? Or indeed any to avoid! Any recommendations/reviews very appreciated! Thanyou :-)
  10. thank you for your comments, after doing a bit of research myself in the library i came across an "arthur bond" grocers in the 1920's but have never heard of a "beer-off" before and would never have put two an two together!... the reason i am so interested is that me and my partner have recently bought the property including the basement and i really like knowing at least a little of the history of the houses i live in but also, more interestingly, in the basement, there is a barrel drop and a built in raised platform all around the room for storing cask ales, which seemed a little odd to me as the original property seemed far too small to have been a pub, and as most people would, i got curious! anyway a "beer-off" would make sense and answers my questions so thank you again for your help guys! x
  11. Does anyone know the history of the Threshers wine shop (named The Local) on the corner of Wincobank Avenue and Shiregreen Lane? I know at one point it was a pub. Can anyone help with any more information on the property history?
