the place i used to work for delivered breadcakes to mrs.migs cafe and they told me shes selling cos theres too many sandwich shops/takeaways/cafes around that are competeing for buisness.....

It'll probably be good for the local economy but If thousands of civil servants are being moved here do'es it mean even more traffic in the morning/evening rush hour?

John has retired but Greasy's is still going strong thanks to a couple that has taken it over.There is also a porta cabin to sit in now so no more juggling with your cuppa and cheggburger!

If you go along South rd towards town as the road starts to bend to the right,where the bus stop is there is an exposed tramline there sat in a pot hole.

I was talking to a workman thats working on the sewers at Firth Park and he say's the tramlines will be back as they were after the work is completed. There is an exposed tramline on South Rd at Walkley near to the bus stop on the bend as your drivining towards town...but dont run over it cos its sat in a nasty pot hole.

I know a former manager of the firth park shop (John Scott )who has a shop on Lindsay Ave,Parson cross.His father worked in the original shop down the wicker and his mother worked there also. I know that in the late 80's/early 90's the buisness was taken over by the Nephew and it went down hill after that. I live at parson cross and l think it depends on what part of the cross your thinking of. Deepcar seems to be an alright place but it might be a bit of pain if your going into town a lot.

It was one of those mass buses used to transport kids to school. These guys are crazy, get one following you after they’ve dropped kids off, all over your back bumper they are!

If it should make things a bit better down Neepsend and bring in more cash without causing too much disruption, then why not?

I reckon they should bring back "The Tom Binns Thing" or that Scotty McClue!

Hillards has long gone but the building is still there after being a presto and kwik save its now called job lot and sells a lot of short dated stuff in what was the old hardware dept of hillards downstairs..........anyone remember shoppers paradise at the Chaucer school end of buchanan road it was a bit like Netto at the time.......
