  1. I Lived on the Park Hill as a child until I got married and have many great memories from growing up on there . My father and I managed the Park Hill /Parkway football team for many years Urban Splash the company doing the update have a great website and it's very informative giving regular up dates on the progress of the redevelopment
  2. I remember the Smiths, they lived in the same yard on the other side of the entry. I recall a Mrs Richardson was also in the yard and the name Cotton My father I think worked with Sylvias dad.
  3. Hello I have a feeling that I know you and you are one of my cousins, does you name have the initial J,M,A, OR W or even H. I was born at 24 Macro Street until rehoused due to slum clearance on to the Parkhill thats where most of the clan moved to. I hope you are keeping well.
  4. The most beautiful women I know I got married to, I was not going to let something as good as her pass me by. She has enriched my life in a thousand ways and given me a daughter who is just the same. Then again it took a few years before I realised the fact but I got there in the end.
  5. I have on another post stated that LIVER BIRD was naive marked by unaffected simplicity deficient in worldly wisdom or informed judgment but I am begining to think otherwise as for Wildcat I havent a clue . I agree with you rat [couldnt you have thought of a nicer creature than rat LOL] and as usual I will be branded racist but the racist tag has been used to often, almost as often as the race card it is now considered by many to mean a concerned Patriot. As the old saying goes Sticks and stones may break my bones but calling names cant hurt me. LONG LIFE RAT LAD, LONG LIFE
  6. I agree with NODENS it has got to the point where we are been forced to think about the smallest of issues where race is concerned in case some one pulls out the race card.There are numerous examples every day. We are been force fed by PC which has bent over backward to placate the minorities at the expense of the majority. I have a brother in a nursing home and I wish he was looked after by your sister she sounds a good hearted person.Please keep us informed how this situation gets resolved
  7. And what does you think your post says about you Naive : deficient in worldly wisdom or informed judgment ;
  8. SORRY I jumped a couple of post. and missed your decision IMO you should stick to your guns lol
  9. Think about it this way If for some strange reason your boy got shot by a trigger happy policeman even if was a paint gun he was seen holding, would you regret buying it then. There is a place for guns even paint guns and its not anywhere in public. Do you honestly think young lads wont get fed up at shooting each other and begin to look around for other targets. Just the fact that you have posted this question makes me wonder but I dont want to be too hard on you. If the majority of your replies are NO then please take notice of what other people are saying otherwise on your own head be it. If he wants to play with guns tell him to join the army
  10. They are trying it on by using bulling tactics, Tell them to FOFF but I hope you have learnt something through this experiance. you live and learn son its a pity after all you were only trying to better yourself
  11. No doubt LIVERBIRD knows all about the BRITISH NATIONAL PARTY policies, If she thinks that the BNP advocate ethnic cleansing put it up for all to see. The BNP members and supporters I know dont at all. IMO killing all gypsies is a little bit on the harsh side LOL
  12. I was born at 24 Macro Street in 1953 and I can just recall going to WOODSIDE LANE School we moved out to Park Hill Flats during the slum clear out. I had loads of relatives from around Fowler St and Reginald St. One of my earliest memories was of Sunshine Corner and singing Jesus Wants Me For A moonbeam LOL. Does the names Marshall, Manning Davies, Wild, Sykes, Richardsons, and Smith mean anything to anyone. I can just remember a murder occured in the next yard to ours.
  13. My brother was admitted to the NORTHEN GENERAL HOSPITAL on the 22 July 2004 for what was a routine procedure and was placed on the Maple Ward due to circumstances we have not been able to get to the bottom of as of yet his condition rapidly deteriorated to the point where we thought we would loose him.After repeated request to find out the cause of his illness we were informed that he had contracted NEUROLEPTIC MALIGNANT SYNDROME a life threatening illness which has devasted his health and left him in a wheelchair and in a residential nursing home.My brother went from someone who could walk,talk, feed himself and who had a active life to someone who now has to depend on others for the most ordinary functions of life.This was over 3 years ago and while he now seems in a stable condition and content in his own way in the nursing home the situation has devastated our family coming so soon after the death of our father. My brother is unable to walk and sometimes doesnt even recognise his own brothers and sister when we have visited him and the situation he is in seems to have no end and the anger and sadness goes on. My brother has learning difficulties and was admitted with the intentions of having his medication stabilised and through no fault of his own he has ended up in the condition he is today with little or no chance of improvement and so will in all probability finish the rest of his life in the situation he now finds himself in. Sorry is not enough in some cases
  14. I was born in 1953 at number 24 Macro street and left to live on the Park Hill Flats as did many other Pitsmoor families during the slum clearance that was going on at the time. I started my schooling at Woodside Lane
  15. My mother lived in the area many years ago and she still has fond memories of the area and people, if any one can remember the MARSHAL name or BEVAN it would be interesting to hear from you. To give an idea of the era she was born in 1932 and lived in the area for the next twenty years. Thanks for your time
