  1. Oh my goodness, this doesn't look very good! 'A hospital and other buildings are said to have collapsed.' http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8455629.stm
  2. My goodness, this forum has really become bitter. Lets hope the snide comments / one to one chat have helped the OP, and that he/she's not been sacked for not turning in because of the snow and not calling. Whether or not that's the case, I'm sure the experience you provided to a new user of this forum needing a quick answer, and whilst not necessarily having the time to read the multiple site rules while the snow drifted, enabled them to enjoy the experience of being generally mocked whilst still being largely ignored. Some of the other 'regulars' have been happy to look on, whilst mostly able to stay at home for one reason or another whilst taking the moral highground, maybe ought to spend tomorrow's inevitable snow day reflecting a little on their own short comings. A simple search of this very site indicates that 0114 2635555 is a general number to contact the company that might be of use. Hope this helps, but feel seure this will have disappeared quite quickly.
  3. I agree. This kind of weather definitely sorts the wheat from the chaff. I guess it's okay for the people that only have pretend jobs, but for some it's a nightmare they just have to get on with.
  4. My Mom lives in Hillsborough and I'm certain she'd love a few eggs! Can you PM me with details? x
  5. I bet Christmas is a right laugh in your house.
  6. Isn't it a shame there's not a way we could make it snow everywhere except on roads and footpaths? :-) That would make everyone happy...
  7. I really wish I'd have seen this before the event, sounds like it was fun.
  8. Susan Boyle CD - they are all the rage apparrently! :-)
  9. Has it ever actually ever been called the precinct? It's called Hillsborough Shopping Centre on the signs.
  10. Mummy is going to do some knitting for you MsB! x
  11. Just try not to scare too many other punters this time then.
  12. We've just decided we're ordering again on Tuesday night, and to be honest I really can't wait! :-)
  13. Based upon this thread, I decided to try a takeaway from Italian Express this evening. I am completely bowled over by the standard of the food and speed of the delivery. Between the four of us we ordered two pizzas, one of which was a calzone, and both were of an excellent restaurant standard. We also had a couple of chicken dishes, the chicken breasts were premium quality and beautifully cooked. The salads were really fresh and well worth the money. David said his food was nicer than he has had in a restaurant in recent years. The main difference for me was that the mains aren't served with any sides, and while you can order chips or rice etc, there was no veg available. I guess you could quickly steam or microwave some at home, but it kind of takes away the indulgence of having lovely food brought to the door. Seriously guys - really recommended. The four of us had two courses each, and some salad and it came to just over fifty quid. On top of that they through in a free bottle of Pinot Grigio. We will definitely be ordering again.
  14. Ooh, I love a bit of Hendersons Relish on my chip's, or sometimes with a bit of s'alt or some tomato s'auce.
  15. This any use? http://thegluttony.com/images/736.jpg
  16. Can't remember the colour of her hair, it might have been blonde actually. I recall she had specs though. I remember her being older than I was, but I was very young at the time, so she could have been anywhere between 25 and 55! I never knew that. She always seemed very pleasant. A couple of times she asked me if I was interested in windows while I had my uniform on, I did think that was a bit odd, trying to pitch the staff!
  17. Awww, bless her. She was working in Morrisons in Hillsborough years ago when I worked there as a student. That's almost twenty years ago come to think of it.
  18. Possibly because the dates of the meets were already publicised on Facebook? The Facebook group has admins for a reason.
  19. I used to drink this when I was a teenager, and thought it was great. I came across some a couple of years ago in KwikSave and bought it. Utterly vile, not at all like I remembered.
  20. I'd like to try this place. Where is it exactly? EDIT: Sorry, missed the post with the road name on!
  21. Meaks and I will be making an appearance tonight. See you all shortly...
  22. Why has nobody spotted this as a wind-up? I've met Preach on a number of occasions, and he wasn't in the least bit whiffy! Come on guys when someone says: don't you smell a rat? Pun intended.
