  1. I thought about doing this when I left the marines. It seems to be one of those industries where you have to know someone on the inside to get a job. Good luck with it. I'll be watching this for any useful advice.

  5. Hi all. I just wanted to recommend Techmoto motorbike shop Abbeydale rd. I needed a bike MOT done quickly and my last testing station has shut down. I found techmoto on the internet and thought I would give it a try. I thought the service was second to none, the owner St. John is extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful. The shop has a good setup, the bikes being worked on are in plain view. I will be taking any further motorbike issues there. Much better service than the larger companies. The shop number is 0114 2581151 http://www.techmoto.co.uk

  13. Big thick heavy duty gloves. Hammer and bolster. Go slow, try and keep the wall in as good a state as possible. Cover the bath w.c and basin also any exsposed pipework, broken tiles are sharp as hell and will easily punture anything they fall onto. The better and straighter the Walls are before you start tiling the easier your job will be and the less adhesive you will use. regards James http://www.bathroom-renovations.co.uk
  14. You can do it. But it may just make the job a lot harder. If your doing the tiling yourself and your new to it the best thing to do is start with a good flat surface. When you look at your old tiles feel the surface if there are any lumps and bumps where the tiles haven't perfectly met In all corners, when you come to put new tiles on without a lot of experience you won't be able to iron these out. One corner out of place will lead to more. You need a good non slip adhesive and personally I score the old tiles with an angle grinder, porcelain tiles have a smooth slippery surface the scoring will give the adhesive something extra to grab hold of. Avoid mixing up powder adhesive if you unsure use a pre mix non slip adhesive. Regards James http://www.bathroom-renovations.co.uk
  15. I totaly agree with 0114owl1867 wickes are good for building materials but that's it. Speak to phil greenwood first on 07729625901 he is a top quality kitchen fitter, he will take you down to Sheffield kitchen outlet and help you find something in a similar style to your wickes kitchen but a much higher quality. No doubt he will pass you on any discounts he can. It's definately worth having a quick look before parting with a large amount of money.
