What I normally do is go to town and walk down the canal from town to tinsley spinning and deadbaiting on the way one of the best spots for spinning is from town up to bacon lane bridge, some nice pike towards tinsley too. I will put some pics up from 2004 from canal pike. my main spinner is a buzz bait they seem to love chasing them

So now the weather is starting to drop colder and the corse fishing is slowing down ive got my Pike gear out of the loft and dusted it off and checked hooks for rust etc. Who else is gettign the pike gear ready and where you going? Im thinking Kidby Drains and Fosdyke canal and not forgetting out very own Sheffield Canal. time to stock u on the dead baits =D

i wouldnt have any of them, i would go for the daiwa Con G20 an excellent all rounder, this is going to be my next investment

most of the canal is free from sheffield city centre **after the bridges** all the way up to the basin's in rotherham but if your just passing through the balif probs wont mind you spinning etc he never did with me

me & gav **ninkynonks** both run a redtooth league, gav is at the cueball in Chapletown on Mondays and I run the Devonshire Arms in Longley on Tuesdays

where now is not full of these type of people??? I know a few people who have lived on winn gardens and both have had diffrent views. It's only what you yourselves make it to be same as anywhere else. Everywhere now has it's trouble.

ive always found that between town and staniforth road was the best places to catch pike, but that was a few years ago now almost anywhere on the canal is good due to excellent spawning

over 12" then i think you can, but wouldnt advise it from a pond =/

i know a lad who caught some europeans fishing for food near the town centre and he shoved them in and wudnt let them out also rung the police

i think its ruining the sport, i know a few of the old anglers that have told me about it say they do it alot on the plumpers stretch of the canal, but the only problem is we cant have 24 policing to catch them, all we can hope for is they get poisened

anyone know any? I have my old car for scrap collection I have taken bits off it and sold them, anyone who wants to offer me some money to collect & scrap it is more than welcome, will need lifting as no wheels engine is still in it and runs gearbox faulty though.
