You've quoted a few times that we've finished below Wycombe, your team with the so called "best manager you've ever had" have had

    • the worst start to a season in 132 years of league football
    • The lowest points tally on Boxing Day and at the turn of the year in football league history
    • The longest run of starts by a striker without a goal in the top flight - Oliver Burke
    • One of the top five lowest points tallys ever
    • 5 wins out of 35 games

Finishing below Wycombe will soon be forgotten, some of the above will be in the record books for a long, long time.

Can I add that its good to see some proper banter being allowed again on this Forum, a combined footy thread is bound to raise the hackles but were all adults, if you can't take the heat don't click on the threads.

Down you go, to League One, but keep clutching at straws if you want, most people won't forget the inflated price on your books for a rusting, ageing ground.

    The "sale" of the ground.

The huge number of SWFC who have not been reimbursed.  What a way to treat working class people, great eh?

But justice was served, right at the very end of the last game of your season.

As it says on the seats of your ageing, rusting ground, "Thank you, Dejphon Chansiri".

Surely it's more a case of the money being taken out of the Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Ltd account & being sent to the Sheffield 3 Limited account, who own the ground?  Both companies of course, being owned by Mr DC.

Where it goes after that would only be known to Mr DC but it wouldn't seem logical to then send it back to the SWFC Ltd account?

So, a man who some say is a "successful businessman", who can't seem to pay the wages on time, is now expected to deposit 2.5 million quid a year, from the SWFC account to one of his other companies, and people can't see that this could be a problem?

Let's not forget that apart from struggling to pay the wages, he has to find almost 7 million quid by September, or risk losing the ground.

Monza my old pal , I asked  a genuine  question I was interested why there was no interest in United  on the threads , I also did not know the score , I am sure you have mentioned your gerbils before but it slips my mind when it was .

Cuttsie mate, we all love your stories about builders of Sheffield, past, flat caps, five park drive, or whatever, but this is 2021, not 1950, are you seriously telling everyone on here, that you have no other way of knowing a football score than "Sheffield Forum"?, no TV?, no Radio?, no Smartphone?

Great attempt at a wind up, by the way, but you just finished bottom, below Wycombe Wanderers, enjoy League 1 pal.

well mr chansiri spoke,he says hes sorry, hes made mistakes, and although he nearly got us there, thats not good enough,he wants the supporters back, hes promised to rebuild,he says hes learnt by his mistakes and wants darren to lead us back up,he wants a solid footing,he wants us the fans back and he will sort it out.i believe he will sort it,because hes a business man ,i think he will get us up and sell,or get us up with darren and get us up,lets back him,hes been honest and admitted his mistakes that have cost him millions,so 1 more chance folks.because if we dont all work together ,we will go down further.

I love your optimism Bassett, but I am starting to think you are one of our lads (Blades) on the wind up.

How can it be a scam if Derby haven’t been deducted points, it was the attempt to put it in the previous years accounts that the punishment was for, there was no rule against the sale.

Exactly.  Not exactly the "honorable" businessman that some people keep saying he is.

I know you won't disagree with that, because I know you are not taken in by the "successful businessman" stuff either.

You mentioned two deflected goals as “summing up your season” deflected goals are a result of misfortune, so ergo misfortune must sum up your season.

Who we finished below is irrelevant, we were deservedly relegated as were you.

    You are jumping to conclusions.

I agree you were deservedly relegated, as were we.  It would have been a travesty if you had stayed up, after the stadium sale scam.

I was talking about on the pitch, not off field. Those 6 points cost us but that's down to the owner not fans.

None of it is the fans fault, Nervy, don't think anyone would blame anything on the fans.

Chancer is the reason for the points deduction, obviously.  Not sure why he keeps getting things wrong, because we keep being told that he is a successful businessman.

    “Sums up our season”

One of the worst campaigns in league football history was all down to bad luck, well fancy that 😂😂

Show me where I said anything about "bad luck", I'll wait.

You just finished below Wycombe Wanderers, deservedly so, for cheating.

Mirror image for the Sheffield club's this season. Both our failings seem to be the same, bad recruitment. Nothing to do with you being in a tough league, it was easy last season we were told. Both teams haven't recruited right and finish bottom of their respective leagues, not a good season for Sheffield football.

Plus you were deducted points for trying to deceive the EFL, Nervy, don't forget.

So relegation won, just as it threatened to do all season. What a plonker our chairman is, but the players know in their hearts they should have kept us up.
So we go down losing 50% of our games. Could be worse, could be 80%

You just went down, below Wycombe Wanderers Jim.................................

Just got in after longest dog walk ever ,switched on here to have a gander at the usual suspects Owls bashing and it set me wondering , Has  Sheffield top team played today , I ask because I cannot see owt about it , its all about the Owls on these threads , any one know the score down at the Lane by any chance

Yes we played mate, and we lost 2 - 0, from two deflected goals, which just about sums up our season.

You got the bit in bold right Cuttsie, I'll give you that.

Premier League is tough mate, it's the world's best football league, hence two of the three teams promoted last season are coming back down with us.

You don't need to worry about the Premier League though, you need to worry about doing well in League 1.

    Good evening G

Hows my little bro doing ?

The beers will be going down a treat tonight ;)

Stay safe and love to L

    See you soon

Seems like they can dish it and not take it pal

Same as their leader Hotty , thought he was poorly but comes back to post then off again

But seriously hope you are doing well hotty

Doing fine pal, enjoying a beer, as always on a Saturday.

    See you soon mate.

  12. Probably a good match for the neutral to watch,  6 goal nail biter.

Hopefully this means that Mester Chancer doesn't have any buyers and sticks around for a few more years.   His mismanagement of the club is a comedy master class.

If the relegation means less income for the club, he might struggle to get that 7 million quid together, by September, and then it could be real fireworks.

Not great for the long suffering SWFC fans, but some still want to defend him, for some reason.

As it says, proudly, on the inside of the ground,  "Thank you Dejphon Chansiri"

  13. Hopefully, the news that tramlines is back on this year means that we can start going back to football matches next season.

The one good thing about being back in the Championship (for personal reasons), will be getting a decent away ticket allocation and getting to away game, and making a weekend of it.  Hardly had the chance in the Premier League, teams giving us less than 2,000 away tickets, meant me and the Mrs always struggled to get any official tickets, and some of those grounds are a long way to go, in the hope you can buy one from someone when you get there, long journey back if not.

Getting away weekends in Preston, West Brom, Cardiff, Bristol, Sunderland (that whole Northumberland coast line) if they get promoted, Peterborough if they get promoted.  It will be great, interesting places and usually some decent pubs and decent beers to try.
