  1. Pull them reins in sunny boy, you will be asking me to marry you next, weve not done our weaving yet, could do with a large basket so I can calm my snakes
  2. Quiet for 5 minutes?? Thats a tall order that I dont think I could deliver. There is always gaffa tape
  3. It would involve only me talking, you just sit staring at the wall pretending to be interested, but ok, lets do the basket weaving whilst wearing woolley jumpers first
  4. I think its just an age thing. As ive got older I feel I need to write lists to remember to do things. Im a busy working single mum so have so much going around in my head I forget to do things, I dont have the energy at the end of my working day by the time Ive cooked tea & walked the dog. By the time its got to my day off I have the shopping & normal house chores to do so dont get time for decorating & stuff. I just dont get stressed about it, its not worth it, I will eventually get my home as I want it, I wake up in a morning healthy & my family is healthy, who could ask for more
  5. I think the general public were attempting to use the back streets to escape the road closure. Thankfully there was no fatalities
  6. Its nearly same as the scene in ghost but we both wear woolley jumpers that Sam & Singlegirl have knitted. A proper woman is very dependant & has worked hard all her working years. She sees a man not as a money making scheme but as a companion. There is a few of them still out there.
  7. WOW.......sounds like you need to meet a proper woman, fancy joining me on my basket weaving night, e get free tea & biscuits?
  8. I believe he lived at Norton & was about 55 years old. The car driver was at the scene.
  9. Yeah, more than likely, passed my Btec level 3 last year
  10. This was my question yesterday to my mate, are cyclists & pedestrians allowed on the Sheffield Parkway? If not, why are they allowed on the Dronfield Bypass? This accident was horrific & anyone choosing to travel down the bypass must have a death wish. If you do choose to cycle down it, please make sure your helmet is strapped on tight & you stay well over to the left near the grass verge.
  11. I'd leave the chloroform idea well alone though, dont think the ladies would appreciate it
  12. This is the true news, shame the Star are not factual. My heart goes out to this man & I hope someone finds him & gives him his name
  13. Its hard being a single person when your in your late 30's, all your mates are usually settled down & you find your unable sometimes to go out because your with your kids. Definitely join a group of some sort, & as someone on here said, you dont have to drink alcohol to go out & have a good time.
  14. I personally think with any dog (just like people) you are going to get some mental health issues. I used to dog walk for a rescue & most of them were staffies, I never met a nasty one, always happy to see you. Yesterday I went to an elderly gentleman who had been attacked by his next door neighbours GSD, it had pulled him to the ground & and made a mess of both his arms before the owners could pull it off, the gentleman said he couldnt understand it, it had always been a pleasant dog, but just flipped. This attack was not reported in the news maybe because it wasnt a staffie. For any dog to attack its own owner must have had some major issues going on.
  15. I remember Mr Cassidy in th 80's at Myers. I was in the choir all the way through school & performed all over Sheffield. A brilliant music teacher ?
  16. A friend of mine always takes hers to the one on Grange Lane just off Ecclesfield Road. I think now they have to be up to date with the kennel cough injection as well as their normal injections.
  17. Where abouts are you? Ive got a 20 week pup & ive just joined a group on facebook who arrange doggy meets for socialisation, all nice friendly people, take a look https://www.facebook.com/groups/1466308176946800/[/url]
  18. Was working at Buttertubs Pass today, I must say Im not interested with the tour de france but got to admit the atmosphere was brilliant, everyone enjoyed themselves, the cyclists had all passed us within 4 mins & that was going up the hill.
  19. Being taken through the rear entrance by an ambulance still doesnt get you seen quicker, sometimes if the nurse/doctor who recieves you does not think you are an urgent case they will be sent through to the normal waiting room with everyone else. I think its more of a data thing of gathering info on how people are getting there.
  20. Maybe you want to be asking the public why they waste emergency crews time with stomach ache that they've had for 24 hours & a cut finger thats gone a bit red around it. Ambulance staff are constantly complaining about the amount of time wasters that are taking them away from life saving jobs.
  21. They definately need to speak to someone. I had a lot going on in my life last year & being a strong person just carried on, what I didnt realise was that I was putting it all to the back of my mind & not dealing with all the emotional side, last October I finally had a sort of break down, constant panic attacks, I locked myself (my head) away, I couldnt eat & went days without sleep, I thought I was in hell. The councillor on the N.H.S was fully booked for weeks, I spent every morning sat in my doctors surgery crying for help, there was non, I ended up having C.B.T councilling through work which helped a great deal, talking to a complete stranger about my problems would have been the last thing I thought I would have done, but I found myself waffling away about everything & anything & within a few weeks I started coming round, 2 months later I was back at work being my normal tormenting self. Im still suffering anxiety & probably will for a while, but sometimes (as buzby used to say) its good to talk, you can only remain strong for so long. Tell your friend to get intouch with either their G.P or The Samaritans, no one should go through what they have been through on their own. I wish them well. X
  22. I cant say ive ever noticed me shrinking whilst laid down
  23. To rest your head against their shoulder whilst cuddling is nice, rather than having to bend down to do it I'd go for the personality everytime, someone who makes me laugh & brings out the best in me, its not the way someone looks that determines how they treat you, in time with age all the packaging withers & droops, but the personality remains ---------- Post added 13-06-2014 at 17:04 ---------- In that case I better start searching for Quasimodo
