  1. Hi, it's me again still having issue with my PC closing down and rebooting intermittently. Interestingly their does seem to be a lack of PC IT help ( obviously paid )????? I've run quite a few thorough checks. I do not believe it is overheating as to confirm this has been to a repair shop and it has a industrial fan. Their is no heat around the power source. I have also hoovered in the case of dust and it seems pretty clean anyway . I won't waffle on about all the checks but I've tried to cover all angles. The biggest clue has to be that the longer it stays off the longer it will stay on when powered up. The shorter the gaps in rebooting the shorter it will stay on. So for example if I do not switch it on for 3 days, when I do switch it on I will get around 30 mins out of it. When it closes and reboots that time being back on will get shorter the more I allow it to reboot . Here's the spec and I know it's old but please bare in mind it's super fast and works do efficiently when on. This computer is used only for audio using only 3 program's and does not get used for anything else nit even web and email. It hasn't taken any multipurpose bashing. Microsoft windows XP Home edition Version 2002 Service pack 2 Carrillion Audio Systems Inter ® Pentium ® 4 CPU 2.40ghz 2.41ghz 1.00gb of ram. Thanks in advance.
  2. I agree 2 very different reasons What I do know is that it doesn't shut down like the normal process of shutting down it goes off in an instance.black screen It then imiduately attempts to reboot. So if it is power related, it is a very quick loss of power and I'm guessing it's not that Bare in mind it's been in the repair shop twice for this and I would hope he would have picked up on that It's Definetly not dust or overheating. I'll write the specs down later but it's certainly not modern and was built by a audio specialist call Carrillon who are no more
  3. No...sorry it just shuts down cause it imidiately restarts and runs through the safty checks.
  4. Hi, any theories very welcome My desktop PC keeps on powering it self down repeatedly. It's evidently fine when I can get it on for a period of time because nothing is effected. All data still there and program's running fine . Then just like that it switches off , starts again and runs through the safety checks . Worth noting that the longer you leave it off the longer it will stay on next time. The moment it goes down again it will start switching it self off a lot faster. It does appear to be something like the PSU or CPU overheating? Although it is clean and free of dust. Its first thing I checked , it's a audio studio PC and has a industrial fan, it also has free flowing air . It has also been to a repair shop twice so I'm sure it's not that. Any theories most welcome.

  8. Nothing to do with accidents, by turning the road into a private one means the council don't have to up keep it. The residents of Long Line do ! The same happend to a road in Penistone, I forget the name of the road, it's where Huthwaites Boarding kennels are ? That road is now a right mess, cause the residents don't want to fork out for it, can't blame em. Anyway I still intend to use Long Line and at 30mph !
