  1. Bad idea - of course it would be great to see how the story carries on but only by the man himself - which of course is no longer an option. Your man chosen to write it is a bad choice I think.... Didn't rate the Artemis Fowl books.
  2. Hi there. I am 24 weeks pregnant and have just started having the pain you describe this week. I am reallu upset as I walked miles and miles through my last pregnancy and felt the benefit of it. Now I can't make it round the corner to the shop! Am going to see midwife on tuesday so hope to get some help. Have two year old so can't manage like this.... My hubby uses a chiropractor for back pain so may try that...... All the best to you. Let us know if you have any tips for coping - we can compare aches.
  3. What a great lad - you should be proud - excellant guitar action!
  4. Due on the 18th of December according to official dates - I make it the 24th!!! Hoping to get it done before Christmas - OH no good at roast potatoes.
  5. Hi We have had a VW for a while that runs on LPG...... When filling the tank, how do you know when it is full? I don't know if it depends on your system, but on ours the filling machine just stops when it is full. We hav a wee gauge fitted on the dashboard with three lights that should indicate how full your tank is - but ours has never worked. I always make sure I carry half a tank of petrol in case I run out. Also have a map of the LPG stations (you get this map if you join this website http://www.go-autogas.com/) When I was driving the car back from Manchester, the petrol seemed to be going down when I was using the LPG. Is this normal? Certainly not in my experience. My van runs on one or the other - not both. Would suggest you get a service. There is a place off London Road called WGB Motors where we take ours. All the best Any advice would be received with thanks
  6. My man is a doctor and he would agree with the original poster completely. These power crazed manaics are not medically qualified in any way to undertake triage of patients. If you were to tell them your symptoms then how the hell are they supposed to know if its urgent or not. If your practice feel the need to triage patients on first contact they should have a nurse on the end of the phone not a secretary. I never, never tolerate this. I will either politely tell them that i would prefer to discuss my medical issues with a qualified person or indeed ask to speak to the practice manager to complain. Drives me nuts. Why on earth did I support my man through 10 years of training when he could have done the same job with a HND in typing!

  8. The Springfield Mill in Denby Dale has an artists studio in it. They do all sorts of art courses including stone and wood carving. You can just pop along and stick your head in and talk to someone. http://www.springfield-mills.co.uk/dab_hand.htm Hope that helps
  9. We most certainly leave it in. My little girl has her bath in a couple of inches which then gets topped up for my husband then me. Or me second and then the husband. I sometimes then use the water for the garden. I don't think this is at all. We have a shower each morning don't do heavy manual jobs that would involve us being "mucky". Not wanting to be blunt but I sleep every night with this man and am having a second child with him:D I actually think its weird not to share a bath. We are on a water meter so this all saves us money and also saves the environment. In the Future it will be water we will be fighting wars over you know!
  10. Clarkes shoes - lovely but are costing me a fortune. Can anyone recommend somewhere I can buy shoes for a two year old that don't cost £25 each? Prefereably if the assistants help you to measure and fit the shoes. Thank you
  11. I know what you mean love. I am 9 weeks at the moment and feel great apart from a wee bit tired. In my first pregnancy I vomited constantly and actually lost quite a bit of weight by 12 weeks. I am putting it down to being a boy this time - thats my theory! In the end what difference would a scan make. Sometimes you just have to wait and see.
  12. Not a problem at all. Everyone so far seems pretty ok with the idea. However I have friends who were disowned by their families when they came out. So are the good folks of Sheffield forum unusually understanding or are there lurkers who are not speaking their mind for fear of being non pc????
  13. what a fab game. 136,866 on me first go....... Level 5 IQ level 88
  14. Hello I live in Penistone. I have a nearly two year old girl myself and am often out at the playgroups. I know what you mean about them though. I find it hard to have more than superficial conversations about what the kids are doing at that moment. I have a bunch of pals I met when the baby was really small that I talk to but haven't met any new friends for a while. Sent you a PM
  15. Hello Rogue and Danumarie and all other pregnant ladies, Am seven weeks now, so again early days but already throwing up like a trooper. Did in my first pregnancy though..... stopped at 11 weeks last time so fingers crossed.
