  1. It's a shame iyou're not meeting up with your home girls on Saturday, as we're putting on something specifically for the clued-up older crowd. It's at The Washington (Fitzwilliam St) on Saturday 23rd June and it's a one-off night called Groovin' 4 Grown-Ups. See this flyer for the full s.p. P
  2. Hi all, Still looking for more local tunesmiths who can play a lovely Sunday downtempo set. All styles please - from general chilled dance, thru downtempo hip-hop, thru dub to a bit of quality folky stuff to anything you like as long as its mel-o. It's a 4-hour set at a city centre cafe bar. Slots range from early afternoon to last thing at night. CD DJs are very welcome. See the signature below for more details about the gig, then drop me a PM! Ta P
  3. Hey Casten, We've put an offer on a place on Old Park Avenue.. what sort of problems did you have with gangs of kids? And how often? Thanks all for your replies - very useful and informative. Even more would be welcome!
  4. Hi All, Thinking about buying in Beauchief. Would like opinions please - even harsh ones from t020 are welcome. People have said "parts of Beauchief are good" in the past. What parts? What's wrong with the other parts Thanks for advice in advance. Cheers
  5. Thanks for your replies all. Have already signed up responders for January sessions, but am still looking for more. If you play downtempo/chill in whatever genre (from electronica/dub to indie/folk - seriously) please get in touch!
  6. Thanks for your replies most of which sound like exactly the sort of stuff we're looking for. Now I would like to send you all Private Messages to let you know the S.P., but I'm told that I can't send a P.M. until I've posted 10 messages . Never mind. Please send an email to [email protected] and I'll give you all the details. kind regards S.O.L.
  7. Hey Sheff Forum We're looking for local downtempo/chilled DJs and live artists for a series of events that we're putting on in the city centre in the new year. We're fairly certain that amongst all the uptempo specialists there are few of you out there that can drop a lovely mellowed-out set. We're not really too hung up on styles or genres.. if you're a performer or DJ (even shy - but good - bedroom DJs!) and like things beautiful and mellowed out, please get in touch. We're also always on the look-out for VJs and we have a requirement for a book-loving student who would be willing to look after a stall at these events. Looking forward to hearing from you.
