  1. Cheers Bruno for the list. Cummon all those that moan at disco's..... What songs would you play if you were the DJ??? Diezel
  2. We've all been to weddings and parties where the DJ just didn't seem to play the right music. OK. So you think you know better? What would you play if you were the DJ? Here's your opportunity to come up with a playlist of the songs that you'd consider fitting for a DJ to play that will keep the party going and dancing. Don't go OTT but a list of 20 songs will do. 3. Can we have more buses up and down Prince of Wales Rd. And from Manor Top to Meadowhead instead of having to travel all way in to town to get there!
  4. I don't know how many staff work at the new chemist, but i know you get a personal service at Rowlands, in particular. I have never found them at all slow. Several of the staff from Rowlands have moved to the new chemist, so, if you are saying Rowlands are/were slow; the slow ones have moved to the new!
  5. I realise it is probably more convenient to now use the new chemist at Woodhouse Medical Centre, but please, if you can, support the other two chemists in Woodhouse village. They are really struggling, especially Rowlands and the staff their are wonderful. Thanks. PS I don't work there!
  6. Good point, mate. No point in turning on hot tap to quickly wash hands, as like you say, boiler fires up wasting energy when it hasn't time to reach the tap you're running. Use cold water tap instead!
  7. Claremont is not a matenity hospital and does not do Obstetrics. As for having your op there, well, it depends what you're having done? They have no ICU facilities like NGH and RHH so if things go pear shape then you end up being transferred back to NHS. Remember that the operation you are having done is performed less often in a private hospital and often they borrow equipment from NHS so they can do the procedure so they are less specialisd than NHS. You might get a better room and a nurse with a flower on her head and better food but all that is secondary to what is most important your safety and well-being at the time your operation. If it's major life threatening surgery requiring ICU then always choose NHS. If it's comfort, better food and better surroundings then private is better. But, remember your life is more important!!! 8. Anyone remember back in the early 80's a place opposite the City Hall, Sheffield called Gangsters? It was known for it's Yellow Magic Orchestra - Firecracker laser show which was amazing to watch whilst eating. Gangsters was situated on Division St near to Barkers pool at the top of Cambridge st. Gangsters was I suppose similar to TGI's but smaller and sold dressed burgers and fries etc etc. Also, remember Pizza Plus also known as the Four Restaurants situated accross from TJ Hughes(formally Rackhams) on Arundal Gate next to the 'hole in the road'. This was another place in the early 80's that I frequented. I might be wrong but to me 'fast food' like Wimpy, McDonalds, came about on the scene late 70's and came the springing up places like Gangsters and Pizza Plus serving mainly burgers but for some reason burgers don't have that taste of beef like they did back then. Anyone agree? Paul
  9. Any ideas where I can get hold of a tail light(drivers side) for Jeep Grand Cherokee 1998. I've tried WILF Jays, Charlotte Motors(breakers), Coopers(breakers),Sheffield Motor Factors, SDL Motors Factors, EBAY. I've located a tail light on EBAY but it's a nearside passenger tail light and I need the drivers side. Any ideas other than going to the dealer. Cheers Diezel
