My landlord is demanding access to the property
cleanfix replied to sightholder's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
Look at your tennancy agreement, most short term tennancies have this written in and is usually a formality, but they do have a right to enter if you can't agree a time I think I am right in thinking they can enter property if they give you a time even if you are not present. In my experience they only spend 2 mins inside anyway and probably only want to check you are not growing cannabis or something if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to be worried about. -
I use mark at expert bike repair, he is based out at Whiston but he will pickup your bike if you are not too faraway, service it and have it back to you in no time. He is cheaper than anyone else and nothing is too much trouble for him. Text repair my bike to 07769 314919 and he will ring you back.

That would be like trying to make the Johnstone paints trophy into a major footie competition. On a serious note I am so excited that one of the worlds biggest sporting events in the world is going to pass within meters of our front door, believe me this isnt once in a lifetime its probably something that will only ever happen once. Typical yorkshire attitudes on show ie traffic disruption, whats it going to cost us etc. shut up go and watch and be proud you are part of it.

Ground Rent (N.L. Moffitt & Partners)
cleanfix replied to englishgirl2's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
I pay my ground rent to this company. I had problems when I remortgaged, they never answered any of solicitors letters and I ended up having to Pay £200 indemnity insurance as they had to count them as an absent landlord. They ground rent demand arrived a few weeks later. I wrote to them and told them about the problems we had, they just wrote back saying "its not our fault everybody knows who I am". the post code is actually the head post office and his letters are forwarded to a private address in Sheffield which I now know, if I have any further trouble I know where to find them. -
Now open again i believe, basic food but wholesome and very nice people.

We heard this too lower wincobank I thought the gas holder at meadowhall had gone up can't understand how no-one knows what it was it was a huge noise. -
I too was lucky enough to watch cricket at bramall lane for the last few years yorkshire played there, it was a unique place to watch cricket, with the screeching of arnold lavers sawmill in the background and the razor sharpness of the wit of the crowd, I have so many happy memories ,watching yorkshire defeat the australian tourists by an innings in 68, boycott scoring many centuries, happy days.

Anybody had Extended car warranty?
cleanfix replied to shabba's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
wondered if the OP had a BMW when I saw the thread. Why ? I have an M and the extended warranty has gone from 510 -> 720 -> 1050 in the last 3 years, Not only am I paying 1050 pounds I now have to pay 250 for each claim on top. Yeah its a bargain, honest. I looked at WD and they limit each claim to 5 grand - bearing in mind Sytners charge 90 plus an hour and I don't know of any well respected Indies in Sheffield you are a little limited. we take our compact to quarry motors just off rutland road independant bmw specialist great service and cheaper than the stealers.
