Did anyone here live on parkhill flats during eighties, I was a young un at the time but i loved it on there cuz everyone knew everyone(almost). If you did and you were a kid at the time (around 1985) you might remember the game of british bulldog on the grass opposite the park and a load of us used to play hide and seek, how daft was that on parkhill it used to take us about three weeks to find one another:)

I work in an elderly persons home and i think what your saying is wrong!!!!!!!! Naaaah, just kidding!!! I do work in a home, and some of the old biddies are rude, ignorant, and have the odd sly comment and name calling to one another when you walk past, ok they are old and have "been thru hard times" but do they have to be so ruuuuuuuude???

Yeah, there was three pools, a toddlers one, the main one(where the deep end was in the middle), and the diving pool. I do recall a painting on the wall by Rolf Harris. -
I remember the winding staircase up to the changing rooms. That was scary. When they closed the baths they did it up and re-opened it as a youth centre. They did'nt fill the bath in or get rid of it, we used to play football in it.(Obviously, there was no water in it!!)

Does anyone remember Sheaf Valley swimming baths? There were three pools and the main one was always freezing cold!! DID YOU DARE JUMP FROM THE TOP DIVING BOARD AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! :gag:

I did the closing ceremony too, I had to wave a big long stick with a big long ribbon on the end!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Cooke, scary!!! I remember at the start of his lesson we all had to stand round his workbench to see what we had to do, he used to tell us then say 'are you with me?' We did make some luverly things though!!!!???!!!

I left Norfolk in 1993 and then went to Myrtle, my brother and sister were there before me though. Brill school shame it had to be demolished!!
