  1. its on manchester road rivelin, its at hollow meadows. if ys go through rivelin towards ladybower, to the post office junction then turn right it just up there on your right hand side,
  2. if only:hihi: , i think i would have a set from my house. i went up those cable cars once in matlock and i have to say i shat myself. they go higher than they look and they made me feel sick:gag: the play house will be staying as will everything else. just inprovin whats there
  3. thanks:thumbsup: hope to see you there soon. just so ya know there is a resident dog at the pub called gilly, but he's very friendly with other dogs
  4. sounds good, will ya be doing any none alcoholic pichers. i know it sounds boring but just thinkin if i ride there i cant drink, and it would be nice to have somethin nicer to drink than coke. ( i know you sell a range of none alcoholic drinks but would be great to have somethin unusual for a change)
  5. everyone is welcome including four legged friends as long as they are good:D the menu was great this week and have to say chocolate fudge cake is to die for, think i am gonna be puttin some weight on:hihi: , i think it gets quite popular with walkers in the summer, i have to say though after you have been for a long walk in the cold winter its gotta be good to laze round a open fire with a drink. maybe i might have to join a walkin club if i keep eatin cake.
  6. glad you had a good time, its always better to check a place out first before casting judgment do ya think, forgive me for being a layman but what do you mean negative energy sums me up:loopy: i just dont think it was nice of fair that you seemed to be offending most of the people this thread is aimed at, all too offten it seems that some people only get enjoyment from creating and promoting negetive vibes. no disrespects to yourself but you had already condemed the new norfork before even seeing it, and insulted the bikers that go in there. makes me happy to know you came in and had a drink and enjoyed yourself enough to come back again. , i am sure your brused pride will recover and it will be a pleasure to see you again. take care
  7. i used to live a stones through from the magnet, i went in a a few times, the wapantake was always my haunt. i do remember the magnet always reminded me of the slaughtered lamb in american werewolf in london. on the occations i went in it was a locals pub to be sure, but then i guess it went down hill
  8. I think that offering each other support is the only way to fly, plus both pubs have diffrant things to offer. i love that there are pubs out there that welcome bikers and cater for there very eclectic tastes. to think we only like to drink warm larger out of plastic glasses is nuts. anyway, i have been to the dove on my bike loads of times and theres pleanty of space there to park and big windows so ya can keep ya eyes on her while you have a drink:hihi: the fire at the new norfork is amazin, and yep i have warmed my ass on it plenty of times. the danger is ya just wanna snuggle up with ya pint and stay there all night. take care:)
  9. at the moment there are no real ales, however they are in the pipeline so watch this space. the dove and rainbow has got quite a selection of real ales and i belive that they intend to expand there range too, also read some good reports bout the cider on offer too. so if your out and about in sheffield pop in and sample some, and bikers will be made most welcome.
  10. after reading most of your posts, it would seem to me that your only trying to rile people up, so forgive me if i dont follow you down that nasty track. as a biker i tend to come across quite a few people that assume that all bikers are just plane old trouble and are very quick to slag us off, its a shame people like yourself can only slag us of from behind the safty of your pc. why not come down to our nice quaint pub and have a frendly chat and drink with us before you cast judgement. and remember the negative energy that you give out will only come back to you x 3. you take care now:)
  11. The New Norfork pub on manchester road, riverlin is now under new managment, bikers will be given a real welcome as the landlady is herself a biker. pub grub teas and coffees and all the other snacks and drinks available, with offers for bikers on most of the food and tea and coffee, bike meets and events are in the pipeline and anyone wanting to hold an event at the pub will be made most welcome. the pub has been left to its own devices for far too long and now its time to make it a bikers haven, rock music it by the order of the day, although we can cater to most tastes as long as its rock, rock or errrrmmm rock. tel 01142309253
  12. I went into the dove last saturday after the renovations and i have to say they did well to get as much done as you did in such a short space of time. it will be intresting to watch the place grow and develop its own atmosphere, wish you well on your venture goldenfleese. i am sure its gonna be a great success, still wanna know more bout this ghost though. will see you soon.
  13. yep, shaz who now runs the new norfork, is tryin to cater for most peoples tastes. includin a veggie menu. her home made meat and potato pie is amazin, and ya get loads too. so ya dont feel ya need to order another meal just to fill ya up. and call it greed on my part but i hate it when ya order food and a plate the size of a saucer arrives with a burger the size of a smartie on it. hope to see ya there some time:thumbsup:
  14. the pub is great loads of parkin, in fact with all the land that comes with the place it would easly be good for a small rally. had chat with shaz last night ( land lady ) and b & b is also gonna be on the cards at some stage if ya find ya have drank too much to make the ride home. its an ongoin venture but hopfully with the support of bikers it will be a great place to go any time of the year.
