  1. Whats the point with all this debate. This save the town hall group want the current status quo. A building that has been left to ruin. They have no alternatives with what to do with it so why not let it be developed.
  2. They have guaranteed jobs not a guard on every train. So if there wasnt a guard available the could run without one. Now they are guaranteeing one on every train.
  3. Oh dont get me wrong I'm not disputing that there are problems with this company and I agree they need taking to task over what you posted. I was simply comenting on the liverpudlian woman event that seemed to me like a play for the camera. Also her doting husband who would rather film the event than help her with a blue badge that would have prevented the event happening in the first place.
  4. I agree they are needed and that liverpudlian woman. Come on she was acting up for the camera. She said she was struggling with the blue badge so why didn't her doting husband help her. Nope he was too busy getting ready to film the enforcement officer so he could go to the papers.
  5. Not really it takes 10 to 20 minutes to arrest someone. And I would be able to hazard a guess as to who is fake and who isn't but I know one group of people who know all the homeless people and all the fake beggars as they patrol the streets regularly. They are called the police. What are you saying we should not tackle fake begging and let them get on with it? The big issue sellars who face this problem and are losing money because of it would disagree as the fake beggars hang around near them. The genuine homeless who you claim to speak for would also disagree as they are being tarnished with the same brush.
  6. your lack of compassion knows no bounds. If he was committing a crime such as begging you would allow him to get on with it and we should show compassion but as he is not homeless you are happy to go for deportation. You are picky when it comes to defending these groups that cause problems in our city arnt you? Very inconsistent.
  7. Arrest them under the vagrancy act. I know fake beggars are not vagrants but I dont know if we have another law we can arrest them for.
  8. I read that too so he threatened someone with an axe and now this yet still hasnt been sent back. If I committed a crime like that in another country I would expect to be sent home. I have no problem with people seeking refuge or coming her but if they commit criminal acts then this refuge should be rescinded. If I was seeking refuge in another country I would show the upmost respect for that countries laws or expect to be sent home.
  9. There is also a problem of people who choose to not engage with services. Yes Halibut has explained why many in the homeless community dont engage but that taints peoples perceptions. Of person x or y has been offered help and not taken it so why should I bother. And yes this is increasingly happening.
  10. Now all the time I have wandered round the town centre. During the week like today when I have a day off work and at weekends. I have never ever seen an enforcement officer. One of those bods that go round fining people for dropping litter etc. Yet today for the first time ever I saw one giving a couple an on the spot fine for something. Is it new or have anyone seen them before?
  11. Well I would say dont worry. It is the same person but he got let out last time so dont hold your breath. https://www.europebreakingnews.net/2018/03/sheffield-city-centre-axe-man-charged-with-affray/
  12. Google is your friend. https://www.europebreakingnews.net/2018/03/sheffield-city-centre-axe-man-charged-with-affray/
  13. Nope as I have seen him wandering round like a mad man along with the other spice junkies near the Cathedral. He was found with drugs on him and oh yes he was arrested last year around the Cathedral. Clearly not imprisond and left to attack again. https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/armed-officers-arrest-axe-man-in-sheffield-city-centre-1-9090168 Do you want any more evidence?
  14. Apparently he is 21. You wouldn't think would you. He must be one of the mad spice junkies Seems not the first time. https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/armed-officers-arrest-axe-man-in-sheffield-city-centre-1-9090168
  15. Looking at the photo he is possibly one of the B&M lot. The guys that always seem to hang about outside there off their faces shouting dancing etc. About time something was done about them.
  16. Nope the snowflakes will be saying he is mentally ill and I hope he gets the help he needs.
  17. Some nutcase has been arrested after attacking people in Mcdonalds. What is this world coming to. https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/crime/sheffield-mcdonalds-machete-attack-live-updates-1-9567626
  18. Its here in the Derbyshire Times https://www.derbyshiretimes.co.uk/news/protest-planned-for-outside-casa-hotel-in-chesterfield-tomorrow-1-9558107
  19. Exactly and giving them money wont help that battle will it. Whilst they are getting money from us to feed these demons they are not addressing them. Also anyone who gives these people with demons money will be fueling their addiction and potentially killing them. Sometimes not giving money isnt people not caring its people not wanting to make matters worse. And I will confirm here I dont mean refusing to give food drink clothes etc. Thats fine but money where they could take drugs and kill themselves either from a bad batch or the elements is not something I want to do.
  20. This is utterly disgusting. I have no words. https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/dad-s-anger-after-finding-human-poo-in-sink-at-sheffield-s-ponds-forge-pool-warning-graphic-picture-1-9558057
  21. But its not helping them is it. Firstly how do you know the money you are giving them is going on food, drink clothing etc and not on drugs. If it is going on drugs you are enabling an addiction. Do you really want that? You clearly care about the people being on the streets so do you really think giving them money is helping? There are plenty of charities offering help and support yet they choose to refuse to engage with them. The ideal solution for them would be to engage with these services. Whilst you are giving them money they are not engaging with the services. You can only help people so much. Personal responsibility is not a mantra of the privieged. Everyone as a personal responsibility. It seems there is a culture these days of oh ots down to x y or z its not my fault. Well why dont they get off their rear ends engage with the services and improve their lives. Oh no because its not their fault is it. It never is. I am all for helping people who are needing help but if they dont accept that help. The teams of people out there that's trained to help them then tough I cannot be bothered to help people cannot be bothered themselves.
