Couple of even bigger moans than that 1 Bus drivers who insist on asking oaps for their pass even though they are clearly over 60 infirm, frail you name it. 2 One bus driver who on the 69 bus took a passenger, admitadly whos english was not his first language, who paid a set fair. We then got to Magna. He stopped called him to the front. He explained to him that he had only paid to that point (fair enough so far). The stop was 20p dearer that he wanted to go to. So kindly the customer offered to pay the difference and appologised. He wouldn't even accept the difference he said you now need to pay £1.00 (for just one extra stop!!!) 3 We were going back home on the 69 and one guy got on he fumbled around for some change he did not have enough for the full fair. After talking to the driver for a bit he was quite distressed he said he would get a ticket to as far as he could and then walk the rest. The driver at this point was not happy and said he would have to get off the bus or he will radio for assistance. Wanting to get home we said we would club together for the difference. One guy went up to the driver and offered to pay the difference. The driver even refused that at first but after some discussion agreed and we carried on. Amount customer was short by 20p.

My mate who used to work for yorkshire tv tells me the office in sheffield is so they can get funding for being a local tv outlet. All it is is an office a desk and a camera. I agree it is too leeds biased or obscure stories about betty who lives in darnal and has a singing dog (that level of obscurity). They have more and finally stories than ITN. Prefer Sheffield forum for the news anyday.

I've only had one complaint when they forgot to put through the order it was quite amusing. We complained after waiting 40 minuits she said "well it is busy!" my wife being the insistant type complained she said reluctantly "well! I'll go and check for you". I have never seen someone crawl so much in my life she came back very appologetic we got half the order for free. The look on her face when she realised she was wrong was worth it alone.

Seems like its got Socialist worker written all over it. I agree something has to be done but a group of students who in 5 years time get a job working with thier daddy as managing director of some law firm don't seem particularly commited to Sheffield. They will probably end up discussing karl marx and take back fight back. Oh not to forget revolution in 5 years time.

The lights on the bus lane just as you leave wicker arches comming into sheffield are a nightmare in fact the whole road is. It only allows one bus before changing and then the bus has to join the traffic rather than using the bus lane as there is never enough room.

I have seen him round town he probably raised the fair to get to derby several times over. We even had to take him to the police at sheffield station once as some drug dealers in park hill attempted to stab him.

I too have tried them and they are a quick fix sollution. They also ask you to register at a strange time of 7 in the morning if you want to sign up. They say this is to ensure you are committed to work. They still employ some poor sole to work on the desk in the afternoons to tell you this. She is also very helpful of telling you to ring back in the morning to see if work is available. Precicily what she does do apart from that is anyones guess.

Biggest problem is the cannon regulars going to coop to get their beer money (sorry dole money). Usually one is having a long conversation on a mobile saying how skint they are

Well I got home earlier today than i did yesterday for 2 reasons 1 the bus (69) from Rotherham was that late I got the earlier bus. 2 I got off way before wicker arches and walked!!! by the time I got home I can only guess my bus is still in the place it was before. Cannot belive walking home can be quicker than bus!!! I have to say I was warned in advance. We have an office in Quadrant near Sheffield airport and they were e-mailing us telling us of the traffic chaos. Something has to be done!!!!

People already have moved out. I live on Duke Street and walk that way to get my bus to work. All thats left at the moment is a burnt out car. If they do them up it will be great.

Bravo glad you mentioned Bright House I have seen the ads for it this is a serious problem waiting to happen. You know people are going to go there and then they will get into more debt and the spiral continues. Yes Farepak was a tragedy but as you mentioned about bright house the lessons are not being learned. (I am only 27 so I hate saying this) But why not get back to the olden days when people only spent what they saved themselves (dare i say it) in a bank and did not use credit cards. Yes my wife and I have had debt problems (and yes it is our fault) and we are sorting the problem out. We need to encourage others to do the same.
