  1. Hello I have recently become a member of http://www.babyandbump.com which is a forum that offers help and support to women who are pregnant, trying to conceive, miscarriage/loss etc. I would recommend having a look and maybe becoming a member. They are a very helpful and supportive lot and I know there are a few ladies on there who have been through the same thing you have, are pregnant again and experiencing the same feelings as you. Hope this helps. Many congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you a happy and healthy 9 months. I hope all goes well for you.
  2. Hi there Thanks to all for your replies and PM's. Very best wishes and CONGRATULATIONS on your 2nd pregnancy Skippy06! I really am trying not to stress but sometimes it's easier said than done but I have to say since hearing some of your stories I am feeling much more positive about things. Back to hospital for more tests in October - hopefully I won't need them! Thanks again
  3. I've just turned 35 and i'm trying to get pregnant. My husband and I are currently undergoing fertility testing at the Jessop Wing and up to now all our tests have come back normal. Although I have the usual anxious feelings any woman would go through when trying to conceive I have now developed a paranoia that I am too old to have a baby anyway! Was wondering if there are any 'older' first time mums on here that have also experienced these feelings or anyone who has been through fertility testing/assisted conception?
  4. Well said. As someone who has undergone surgery for early stage cervical cancer I would like to say what an inspiration Jade has been for many women. Not only did she show tremendous courage whilst battling this cruel disease, she also raised awareness of it. I’m a member of a forum that gives support to cervical cancer sufferers and their families and I have to say that Jade has made a huge impact on the campaign to get the age of cervical smear testing reduced to 20 years of age. For women like us this is something we feel very strongly about and I know for a fact that there are many of us out there who are very grateful to Jade for sharing her experience and also getting the media attention that was needed to highlight the campaign. So, thank you Jade for being a truly courageous and inspirational lady. May you rest in peace and sleep well now. My thoughts are with your boys, your family and your friends XX
  5. Mum Thinking of you today, as I do everyday. Miss you and love you so very much. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
  6. My appointment was cancelled and I didn't find out until Saturday afternoon via a letter hand delivered by my GP! That got me paniking, anyway the reason it was cancelled is because my GP hadn't done all the tests they require before a referral can be made. I have been to my GP today for further tests and have to wait 2 more weeks before I can have another blood test and then be referred again. I'm really annoyed about this because I waited so long for that appointment and now I have to wait all over again!
  7. Thank you very much and I'm glad it worked for you! I'm sure I will be on here again asking you more questions after Tuesday.
  8. My husband and I are going for our first appointment at the Assisted Conception Unit at the Jessop Wing next week. Was wondering if anyone on here been through this and if so, what happens at the first appointment?
  9. Hello, I would be happy to answer any questions you have. PM me if you want and I will get back to you when I can.

  11. Hello there I just New York! I've been a few times and have to say I agree with Agent Orange - it's a great place. I found everyone in New York to be really friendly. I hope you find the same here on Sheffield Forum. Welcome and enjoy!
