  1. Scary times we are living in where many youths carry knives everyday. People argue many reasons behind the levels of violence we are seeing on the streets these days but in my opinion I think there are a number of reasons and not just one. Education is just not attractive anymore, too much debt at the end and still not much luck finding a job as you have no experience or if you do get a job you are starting at the bottom. Alternative for the youngsters looking up to their 'local badboys' covered in designer clothing, expensive watches and sports cars is making a fast buck and living 'the life' that is sadly glamorised by many rappers hence resorting to drug dealing and other criminal activity and making a lot of money at a very young age. There has to be more money available for community projects run by people that are in contact with the 'streets' and not people that have absolutely no clue about the reality of what is going on. I have seen many people debate about certain types of rap music. I know drill music was talked about a lot recently but I listen to this music and a lot of it does promote violence and drugs etc. This is dangerous for kids with a malleable mind. Someone has mentioned parents taking more responsibility and in some cases they should be doing but trust me I have seen many cases where parents have done everything they can but the children just simply go out and do as they please. Many of the kids getting convicted for drugs and violence are actually from law abiding and respectable families. I think this is something that is going to get a lot worse before it gets better but all we can do is just keep trying starting close to home and try to educate kids to do better in life and not feel the need to carry weapons.
  2. What a load of bull5h1t! This is why Sheffield will always be 10 years behind Manchester and Leeds etc, full of whingers! If you don't want noise move to the countryside. This place is within a stones throw of Champs and I'm pretty sure Champs produces a lot more noise and trouble. Eccy Road in general is a very noisy busy road so how can a shisha bar make it any worse? These whingers are probably the same type as the ones on Millionaire boy racers, living in central London and complaining about the loud cars and not contributing anything to the economy of the city. Go away you do-gooders and let people enjoy themselves!
  3. memories i have, i was a teen when i used to see him around in his very nice cars. Remembering him owning a 22b subaru impreza, only ever one ive seen in the flesh til this day. me and my mates used to call him names and think he was an idiot. it was only til i grew up and took an interest in boxing i actually realised how good he was for the sport and for sheffield. he was arrogant but true boxing fans can understand why fighters act like this, its to sell tickets. i think the arrogance really wasnt him.
  4. race riots? in sheffield? no way. Sheffield is way too good for that!
  5. This is my opinion here. I have respect for any soldier who fights for his country and they are definitely heroes. But when they are fighting a war for the wrong reasons and a war that has been created by their own government, for whatever reason, and are probably killing many many innocent people including women and kids are they really heroes or are they just government pawns? What are they really? I am a British born Muslim and love this country and appreciate everything it has given me and am far from extreme (dont even practise to be honest) before anyone starts calling me an extremist but Im always seeing this Help for Heroes charity and it just makes me think, what is a hero? And what war are our soldiers fighting and what for? And unless you are really narrow minded or a "Daily Mailer" you will question the very root of all these wars and then question yourself are our soldiers really heroes? Millions of innocents have been killed from the start of this so called "War on terror", and it if it wasnt really terror being fought, then how are they heroes? It just confuses me to be honest.
  6. I cannot believe some on here are claiming the EDL is not a racist organisation? I watched a video of an undercover reporter (was from one of the big newspapers cant remember which one) that went on some marches with them and all I hear all the way through is F*****g **** this and F*****g **** that. The EDL is a very racist and violent organisation and as the undercover reporter said, the day they get through the police barriers and come into contact with some non-white passerbys it will get very nasty. He said the protests always feel like they are on a knifes edge and will go badly wrong one day.
  7. funnily enough a few days later she parked next to me so I just waited for her and we came to a mutual agreement. worst thing is she claims her dad is a copper LOL! She was really apologetic so I let her off with paying for damages. ---------- Post added 16-05-2013 at 15:34 ---------- yeah i told her that. worst thing is she didnt even brake or anything, just carried on driving like nothings happened. Charge her for my time?
  8. Just wanted to say there are good people still out there. My car was scraped by someone who decided to drive off without leaving details. Thankfully there was CCTV just above my car and belonged to Omnia estates. They were really helpful even though we werent residents at any of their accomodations. They took my number, went through loads of CCTV and then even met with me to go through the footage. Honestly they couldnt have been more helpful and thanks to them I have now found the person liable and they are willing to pay for damages. Thank You to all the staff that helped me!
  9. was this a gti or gtd? was it standard or have some nice bits on it?
  10. excellent idea, will be joining this later...
  11. cant stand the roads in Sheffield. My suspension makes all sorts of noises now and so did my last car within a few months of buying it. The roads need to be sorted, I know its a long process but it seems like no work has really started. Just on my local run to the shops I am constantly dodging big potholes and I mean the size that would bend your wheel without a doubt if gone over in speed.
  12. That seems very cheap for FK coilovers. Im sure last time I checked FK coilovers were around £400?
  13. I remember seeing a guy in an oldish shogun absolutely hammering it on snow, i remember thinking wow, that is handling really well. A mate of mine has a audi a4 quattro and that does really well in the snow.
