I'd be fuming too pal, surly It should be dealt with as an assault! that's a serious offence no matter what the age. Hope your lad is ok and you get It sorted, There really is some scum about and some bullies will find anything to target someone different to themselves. They're not real owls they're just idiots -

I have a few cameras but i bought a nikon p900 They're £500 has a built in lens that ranges from 18mm up to the equivalent of 2000mm Its fantastic for getting close to wildlife. I know its a bit pricey but if i were to buy a lens with this capabilities for my canon 70d it would be thousands. heres a video with some sample photos i did

Thanks, are you shooting on A (auto) mode? What exactly do you mean 'flat'? if you mean colour wise you can turn the in camera saturation and vibrancy up a little.

Have you got the right lens as it's still £235 on amazon and £250 at jessops. it is the sp version comes with a five year tamron warranty. I also I use a sigma 30m f1.4 art It's a lovely solid built lens that equals to about 45mm on a crop sensor, A 50mm lens on a crop works out about 75mm. Christopher Frost on youtube does great reviews on these lenses and many more. An easy way to work out what a lens will be roughly equivalent to on a apsc crop sensor is take the focal length and half it so say 50mm halved is 25 then add the original length back on, So 50mm halved is 25 then add 50 = 75mm.

I've had this camera a while now a good tip is to try and get the shot how you want it as it doesn't like cropping very much. I got this just for its zoom capability but have had good results all round with it. bad points are No raw only jpeg, no manual focus except digital and that's so slow its unusable for anything other than very still subjects with a tripod, No lens hood this will get flare if shooting towards a bright light source it has a built in filter in front of the front element that worsens the effect as it reflects onto it, viewfinder and shutter speed dial lag that takes getting used to. There's a couple more niggly things but i wont go into those as this is really a decent bit of kit and might be me being fussy and used to a dslr. The preset modes are fool proof the bird mode works a treat and time lapse works well, art effects work well and panorama works great handheld and the zoom is out of this world even handheld and this was my main reason for buying this camera. There are some examples from the camera here, hope this was helpful. star trails sheffield by John Richards, on Flickr Robin Redbreast by John Richards, on Flickr Poppies by John Richards, on Flickr Half moon by John Richards, on Flickr River Don Gray Wagtail by John Richards, on Flickr Dads Aviators by John Richards, on Flickr Cheer up son Mummy will be home soon by John Richards, on Flickr

I had this lens It's not bad but no I.S. I ended up trading it in to partly fund the above mentioned Tamron SP 70-300mm f4-5.6 Di VC USD this is a great lens for the money.

Should diesel vehicles be banned from the city centre?
jrowl replied to Bigthumb's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
My car is a diesel and emits less emissions the most petrol engines. For it's MOT it needs revving hard to get a reading on the emissions machine. Lots of diesels these days are clean. The shops might struggle also as every delivery van/truck are diesel. Here's my argument, what will the government do if we all go out and buy a small car that is free to tax? They'll have to tax other things more to balance the budget. Look at the tax money they've lost from people stopping smoking therefore adding it on to other things (fuel, food etc) to balance it up. -
