  2. Does anybody know where I can get hold of a Venus flytrap? I live in stannington so somewhere close would be good or, failing that, somewhere in town
  3. My sisters friend lives on the tenth floor and apparently, the block was not evacuated but there were seven people treated on the scene. Apparent a couple of firemen have also needed treatment. I live in one of the other blocks but haven't seen the damage. What a horrid thing to happen, and so close to Christmas as well!
  4. I managed to get over to my parents house in Darnall after catching a tram and then dragging the suitcase for ages. It acted like some sort of snowplough through the lower end of Darnall. It was ridiculous and my gosh, it took forever. I am now working on getting hold of a taxi. Each one that i have called have had none in the area though! I am going to get home tonight, i cant actually cope in this house hahahaha. Thank you to everyone for you advice I hope that all of the people in worst situations get home safely and are wrapped up warm
  5. My sister says she saw a gritter going up Stannington rd. I wouldn't be as bothered if walking wads an option but this case is huge! Lol. I'm determined not to do what I normally do and start crying haha. Once I'm on my connecting train, ill have give the taxi idea a roll:)
  6. At the moment, I'm on a train from swindon to cheltenham spa and then changing to get a train to Sheffield. I'm due to arrive in Sheffield at 1:17pm but I'm scared. I have a big, pink, heavy suitcase. Any ideas how I'm going To manage getting home? I live right up in Stannington. I could get a taxi but I doubt ill be able to! Oh gosh Anyone have any ideas? Or a few huskies? Send them with a blanket though because I'm on the train now but am soooooo cold...? Help me ;(
  7. I'm currently on a train back from Swindon. Don't suppose there are any ideas of what I can do to get home to Stannington (flats) when I get to Sheffield. I wouldn't mind so much but I have no way of getting home if I can't get. A bus. I've thought of taxi but doubt they'll be going up there. I've got a heavy suitcase too. Anyone got a spare few huskies? Send them with a blanket too! (MY train is meant to be arriving at about 1:17pm)
  8. Does anyone know of a website that's reliable in telling you if there's train cancellations? A friend of mine is meant to be coming over for a long weekend and we really don't want to cancel lol.
  9. I just googled and these are some that came up http://www.phillipssom.co.uk/ http://s178475725.websitehome.co.uk/ http://www.city-visitor.com/sheffield/drivingschools.html http://www.smilelocal.com/driving_lessons_and_schools/sheffield http://www.driving-test-success.com/driving_schools/driving_schools_sheffield.html I know the last few arent particular schools but they have a lot listed so they should help too.
  10. He sounds like a right loon. How to be able to defend yourself is obviously a great thing but killing your attacker?! Sounds like he needs some help!
  11. ^I was just thinking the same! I live in Stannington and on the rare occasions i do go to Hillsborough, i never ever go to Legends. I think the atmosphere is weird, its really really small and full of football fans normally. If you really want to stay in Hillsborough and have oooh...about 3 hours to queue up then the Rawson is nice. The last time i went there, i had a really fun night. The outside seating area is nice too. Although, i really do think it depends what day and what time you are going. For example, if youre going on a football night, id avoid at all costs, unless youre partial to getting trampled but for a nice evening drink, midweek, youd be safer
  12. I would use a persnoal trainer to give me tips on how to do some exercises properly but i dont think that i would use one really often. I suppose it depends on the price. i dont know what the going rate for personal trainers is. I was thinking about this when i was on my morning run. I have only just started running and was just thinking about how i would like someone to show me how i SHOULD be running and not me doing what i think is right. =]
  13. I am looking to start exercising. I have just quit smoking and need something to keep me motivated. I have been thinking about starting up running but i am not very good with my confidence and i think i would find it much easier if i were to run with someone else. I am only 20 so i think id feel more comfortable running with another female. I live in Stannington. This person would need to be patient because i havent exercised in a while and obviously, being a smoker in the past, im not the fittest of people! If someone could maybe come jogging with me or could reccommend anything else., i would be so grateful I believe that anything you can do at a gym, you can do at home for a fraction of the price and therefor am not interested in joining a gym. lol Please, someone help me. I really am desperate to start doing something but the darn confidence issue comes back to haunt me every time
  14. i echo what Blade said, i really cant understand some people, i really cant
