  1. I had to walk through town (more like a wildlife park) the other day and were wondering what all these stumps are for.
  2. Yes Sheffield (and everywhere else) should have strip clubs. Why drive something underground where things have more of a chance of causing danger to people. I appreciate the female body and when the workers are performing, Its very sexy.
  3. I wouldnt mind. The way I see it is everyone does it but the difference is family and neighbours usually have a good idea who is doing it with who. I think its the not knowing with who that irritates people. A couple could undress and have sex 5 times a night every night and no one would mind but if it was with different people there seems to be an issue. Every one likes sex and if someone is selling it why not pay for it - everyone likes watching tv and we pay for that.
  4. I work in a petrol station and staff work on our own. The shoplifters now tell us they can shoplift there because it is easy and nothing can be done about it. They also tell us if we say anything to them they will get violent with us because they know we are in a vulnerable position. The police have told us to not call them anymore unless our lives are in immediate danger. Happy days for them.
  5. Most of the beggars you see on the moor, London road and Ecclesall road and outside Aldi actually live in the flats on Lansdowne estate. More often than not it's the lansdowne flats where the drug dealers live too. The police know this too as its the same addresses that keep getting raided. Has anyone noticed a lot of the beggars putting their money together to buy a bigger score and sharing it?
  6. If every driver in Sheffield stuck to the law, What would replace the money in fines? Or even motoring in general as there seems to be a lot of income from the motorist.
  7. I went for a walk yesterday evening around Neepsend where the quiet old buildings are and was amazed by the bars and pubs there now and this container park that was booming with people. https://steelyardinc.com/steel-yard-kelham/ You probably know this already but I was surprised.
  8. At least someone has found a use for that land.
  9. They have a news paper called sharrow today and meeting rooms. There is also a Lansdowne tara.
  10. I agree and as I said the work is starting on the grounds but still EG group tell the staff that it is not. I presume EG are afraid the staff will start looking for work elsewhere if they admit to it.
  11. Everyone above the manager is in denial to staff that this is happening and they know nothing about it. Work has started on the grounds but is there any way of finding out when the demolition will happen? https://planningapps.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?keyVal=RIIK3ONYM6S00&activeTab=summary
  12. Has anyone noticed more traffic in their area from people avoiding the CAZ ? Cemetery road (S11) from town direction has been almost gridlocked for a couple of days but the vehicles appear to be private/exempt from the charge.
  13. Not seen a single van there. Could have stopped off on the way to where ever they were going.
  14. Them getting the wrong flag dont surprise me. I am surprised it was rectified without a meetings, debates, votes.
  15. I use this roundabout daily as a driver and feel Im lucky to leave it in one piece most times. It is usually late on when I use it but I have never seen a cyclist on it and I would not even think of cycling on it.
  16. When they do arrest, Most are released without charge. I used to speak to a lot of officers who say they arrest the same person several times in a week untill he eventually stabbed someone.
  17. I can almost guarantee karma will not come to the scumbags. The thanks for an excellent service to the community stinks but at least they will have a crime number.
  18. Who ever remembers me getting all my strange posts deleted from roughly 15 years ago I guess you're strange too.
  19. I asked the original question because I have witnessed what a criminal gang can do for an estate to keep other criminals under control where the police were failing miserably. The estate run by criminals is now very peaceful, a lot cleaner and safer for residents who were months ago afraid to leave their flats without been armed with something for protection. For this reason if i was given a choice to have vigilantes I would have them but I fully understand why people would not.
  20. Arrest the criminal vigilantes same as with the criminal police personel.
  21. Im starting to believe that a lot of estates in Sheffield could use a vigilante to work with or instead of the police. Most people who are creating issues in estates have no respect or fear of the police or laws. The law is a joke to the growing number of criminals but a vigilante can change that rapidly with a much quicker and direct response. What do you think?
  22. I have quit calling the police now for druggies causing havoc at the place I work. The last time was a couple of months ago when a druggie was harassing customers, staff, damaging vehicles and property. I had a call back almost 45 minutes later from the police asking if I still needed assistance. As it happens the druggie was still there causing problems. When the police turned up another 15 minutes later They told me he can not be arrested due to him been high on drugs. He was taken to hospital by the police and within 3 hours he was back buying drugs in the carpark and soon off his head again. Drugs can not be enforced by police.
  23. Bacon could not be sold on Sundays either. Weird.
  24. We need more parking on Lansdown estate and the verges are a good place for them to be. The issue is not in the city centre its in the estate where people pay for parking and not able to a lot of the time. I would like to help reach the carbon reduction target by not spending extra half of hour finding somewhere to park and it would also make me use the car less.
