  1. I saw these lights. I looked at them via binoculars and couldn't identify the source. Even drove up the the countryside. Lights seemed to be in the air. Aircraft maybe.
  2. Call It a crap shop you can have your opinion. But objectively you can’t call it a crap shop. The day it opened it sucked the business out of most of the shops around the area. Because it is cheap, it does not smell, it contains everything, they give refunds without explanation, you don't have to park on the main road and it has a self service. Oh and let us not forget that it sells sweets ! And has a bakery. Basically it sells everything else the “local shops” sell but cheaper at a better quality and at a nice friendly clean environment were the customer is always right. Even if I had a thousand bad experiences with Tesco I would still go there. That is because their management structure and the amount of money that goes into training is just brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Mind blowing. Sure you can go to your little (Crappy) poorly managed stores but remember. Was2good2003 and countless thousands round nether edge will only ever shop at the glorious, Mecca food store “Tesco”. And when we do it we will do it with pride. Tesco is here and it is here to stay get used to it or shut the hell up! And stop hijacking this thread!
  3. You are hilarious. Ever thought of doing stand up comedy? What do these "two shops" sell exactly? Not what spar or Tesco sell. I think your hurting and are using denial (denying unpleasant events are occurring) and displacement (anger and frustration about a stressor is taken out on something are someone else). I would refrain from using defence mechanisms to cope with stress as they in the long run could lead to psychosis and neurosis. Do you want me to help you? Let’s say some humanistic client central therapy what is your problem and how do you think you can overcome it? I show sympathy blah blah and you work out your own problems. Or do you prefer a collective approach?
  4. You assume I have a job and I don’t. You also assume I work at Tesco which I do not. It is like me saying you work at Bragazzi's or Kempka's simply because you defended them. Do you see know how ridiculous you argument is? “It shouldn't take you 35 mins to walk to the big Tesco from the new small one” Why should it not? Have you ever done it? Give it a try and time it. And even if you prove that you can walk there in less time, how does that mean I can get there in less time. What if I walk slower then you? It is actually irrelevant how long it takes for me to walk to Tesco. When this one is closer. You would not like to stand next to me in the checkout queue. Well good for you, I also would not particularly like it. We would argue about walking distance I would reference the logical positivists and the verification principle. You would say I can not prove it then I would say I don’t have to then you would say “I am faith
  5. Let me say for the record. I am not a Tesco employee. I do not dispute that the shops are not "great". I personally have not been to either of the shops you mentioned therefore they could be "great". I was referring to the shops around Tesco (spar and the empire road shop) when I said they hade poor service. But I do not think Tesco will interfere with Bragazzi's or Kempka's. Do you work for either of them? Try to hid it better next time! Double lol! lol!
  6. The question asked was has anyone been? You answered yes. So how did you find it? Assuming you actually did go there. If you did not go there the answer yes is ambiguous. (Look that up on Google). You said it must have been horrible (1) having “to put up with” a Tesco half a mile up the road. Correction number one the Tesco is exactly one mile up the road taking a total of 35 minutes to get there on foot. The Sainsbury’s you refer to is indeed half a mile “up the road” (0.4 miles to be exact) but it constitutes a hasher walking route (all routes leading to it contain hills). I feel you make a categorical mistake in thinking I should not be happy by having a new Tesco open at my door step. If it is saving me money and time it is completely irrelevant how “near” or “distant” other stores are. I would still be happy if another Tesco opened next door to me as walking would be significantly reduced. As of course I have just used a reductio ad absurdum argument (don’t bother looking that up). Then you claim that this Tesco opening is a “small miracle”. David Hume defined miracles as “A transgression of a law of nature by a particular volition of the deity or by the interposition of some invisible agent”.(David Hume, An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding, 1748 I firmly believe that no miraculous intervention had anything to do with this new Tesco being built. No laws of nature were “violated”. If God (assuming you meant the classical definition of miracle) (2) did intervene to build me this Tesco why as Maurice Wiles asks “no miraculous intervention prevented Auschwitz or Hiroshima”. Footnotes (1) Assuming sarcasm was used in your sentence. If not. Then yes it was really horrible! (2) If you meant that no laws of nature were broken then you are wrong to think that this was a miracle. http://www.Answers.com defines a miracle as “An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural I apologise for any spelling or grammatical errors; this was typed in a rush.
  7. It's 440 Abbeydale road. They made use of this building - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=sheffield+empire+road&sll=53.347631,-1.492231&sspn=0.009069,0.019312&ie=UTF8&layer=c&cbll=53.358967,-1.480917&panoid=LKSta6b6epIqlkJpEMvNJg&cbp=12,161.0846785839354,,0,0.599999999999999&ll=53.358914,-1.48103&spn=0.009067,0.019312&z=16&iwloc=A Has anyone been? I think it is fantastic it sells everything even sells sweets! And It even has a bakery! For ten years I have had to put up with poor service from local shops (unprofessional to say the least). The staff at this tesco are great. No local shop can even compete with their management structure.
  8. fair point but allready someone said that about a ferrari , but what are the odds of that>? ( that would be a great way to put someone out of bussiness)
  9. i looked for some classic cars but coudnt find many , do you know of any cheap ones
  10. i wanted to build my no claims up so i could get a better car in future , so i woudnt do that , that articles cheered me up , looks like i will have to pay the lump
  11. if i was a named dirver (is that the main driver?) would i still get my no claims discount if i didnt crash ? because i wanted to build that up
  12. lol , seriously ? for a corsa , a corsa 1 litre
  13. come on , what are the odds of crashing into a ferrari ? they are to rare ive only seen 2 are 3 on the roads, i blame the chavs and boy races who put insurance up for all 17 year olds , even good drivers like me have to suffer
  14. its still alot of money , but is it worth it for such a crap car , i personaly wont have to pay for anything but if i crash my parents will probly kill me lol
