HI all Definitely echo Sarah's message re meeting up. Nice to finally meet you all and discover we are all in the same position. 16 people have been in touch to say they are interested in getting together tonight!! Most are girls who have moved up here for their men....what sacrifices we make!! I cant believe how many people must be out there in similiar situations - it makes me feel less of sad case for not really knowing anyone! Anyway looking forward to meeting you all tonight. Anne x

Dear all This is my final update before Wednesday. I think most of you have my number but if you need it to get in touch on the night just PM me and I will send you contact details. I suggest we meet at the bar Meadowhall around 7.30 if this suits everyone. For those of you dont know it (and I dont know the name so that does not help) there is a bar by the car park doors. If we were heading into the Food court on the lower level from the shopping are, you will have the esacalators to the cinema on the right hand side and from memory, I think it is just behind those stairs. We could meet outside around 730 or just text when you are there and we will somehow find one another. I'll probably be there a couple of hours (But certainly not a big night as I am guessing we all have to work the following day and I will be driving so limited alcohol consumption!). HI there I would not be put off by the comments on the site. Whether you are English or Spanish will make no difference - it is always difficult at first in a new city. I spent a year in France and a year in Belgium to improve my French. It was the same there - I founfd it hard to meet people but if you enrol in foreign language classes you will meet other people in the same position and your English will definitely improve while you are here (although you may end up with a Yorshire accent!! Of course that is not a bad thing before anyone bites my head off - I am from Yorkshire and proud) Take the plunge and do it because this is a great city.

HI guys have just seen the last message and clearly we are all going to struggle to find a night when we can all meet so how about if those people who want to get together one night next week, send me a PM and (ideally mobile number but I completely understand if you dont want to give this out) and then we can try and arrange something around everyone?

hi ALL Why dont we say we will meet outside the main entrance to the bar at around 7.15 - 7.30 (is that ok for everyone) that way no one needs to feel awkward wandering around on their own wondering who on earth is who. What we could do is exchange mobile numbers ( realise people may feel a bit freaky about this) via private message if that makes things easier althought the above method should work. Does this suit everyone?

HI all I think this could be quite difficult to manage to arrange but how about we say: Thursday next week (22nd March) so hopefully Lesley B will be able to attend? I do mean bar downstairs in Oasis (I cant remember what it is called but I know it was recently done out) and it is in the corner by the exit to the kiddies playground and Oasis car park. God knows how we are going to know who everyone is? Does anyone have any suggestions? Could run with a colour theme but we will look like complete saddos.... Anne

HI there I took up golf a couple of years ago and due to personal circumstances rarely played last year. I moved down to Sheffield from Bradford and have just booked my first golf lesson in Sheffield to start to play again. As you can imagine I am not very good but would be interested in finding other women in the area in a similiar position who would like to play 9 holes every now and then! Not interested in playing with great golfers though (no offence) as I will feel like a complete twit when I botch up. Anyone from beginner to just beyond would be great though..

HI there I am relatively new to Chapeltown and my other half has three children (6, 8 & 10) who visit every other weekend and every Tuesday night. They often get bored with one another and start fighting whereas at home they would go play with their friends. I am hoping to find out about any activites in the area where they could go in the hope of making some new friends in the area. Can anyone suggest anything?

HI there I let a flat last year through Blundells and it took a day for the checks to take place as all they did was call my employer. It seems bizarre that they should take so long - what happens if you are desperately in need of a place? I personally would chase them as it is a mere courtesy for them to give you an indication of when you can expect everything to be sorted.

HOw about next Monday? the 19th March? Is the bar at Oasis good for you?
