8 years ago we bought a house from my dads friend.When he left he said anything left(which there was loads) inside the house now belonged to us as he'd taken everything he wanted. (Im sure he did this to save on cleaning up!!) Most of the stuff we binned but we have just found in the loft after having a good clean out a very old looking solid wooden babys highchair. I have since been told by an elderly neighbour that this was given to the guys daughter as a christening present years ago. i mean his daughter is now in her 50's. Apparently before that the chair was given to this lady for her sons christening!!!!!! I dont know anything about antiques so wondered where I should take it to get it looked at without being ripped off?? Any ideas??

GGGGRRRRRRR! this gets me so angry! I live at Longley S5 and a few weeks ago we were sat watching tv when I noticed someone comming down my path. There was no knock at the door so i got up thinking the man was going to the back door instead.When i went into my kitchen to see where he was the cheeky beggar (even though beggars ASK) was looking into my neighbours garden(we have shared access).I stood back and watched him. He then went onto my garden ant proceeded to try to walk off with my 2 little boys TRAMPOLINE! I opened the door and shouted at him to which his reply was 'I thought it was scrap'!!!! The trampoline is 12 months old and looks brand new! I then told him scrap or not it was my property not his to just take. Especially without asking first. I just got a grunt out of him as he walked away so I shouted that if I ever saw him on my property again I would beat his skull in!!! TO ALL THE SCRAP MEN OUT THERE, THIS IS THEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rant: Sorry guys but it really p*ss*s me off

hi! im glad things went well for you. Its not very nice is it, i know as my partner has had these a few times at RHH. He is epileptic although when hes had the telemetry its never caught a seizure. Thing is if they can see it and see the interupted brain activity they have a better chance of figuring out exactly what it is! Good luck with whatever they find!

god! im so sick of hearing this. it was that loud it made me jump out of bed! it was a young lad riding this ,not very well i may add. he was scraping his feet along the road whilst riding it. this was last wednesday about 2.30am. the little ****e should have been in bed! GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

yes its still doing it now. the manual doesnt say anything about it.the flame is actually underneath the oven not at the back like a normal gas cooker. it needs to be lit to make it work!!!

it doesnt have a timer. i sat and watched it last night when i tried to cook tea. sometimes it stays lit for 5 mins then 10 mins. sometimes 2 mins beforeit just goes off!:loopy:

Hi. wondered if anyone on here had any ideas as to why our brand new gas cooker keeps turning its self off??? it was installed by ignite who after doing their stuff said it was fine to use. ( Im not blaming them) this was monday evening. xmas eve the oven stayed lit for 20 mins (long enough to crisp our jacket spuds), before I turned it off. CHRISTMAS DAY we were cooking dinner for the in laws but noticed after the turkey had been in an hour the oven had cut out!!!!!!!!<removed> The hob stays lit but the oven keeps turning off. needless to say myself,my in laws and my 2 little boys were gutted at not having a CHRISTMAS lunch. and it turned the day a bit sour. Iv called the gas man and the company where i bought the cooker from but hey!! they closed for CHRISTMAS! LUCKY BLOODY THEM! so any ideas people????? sorry for the rant xx

bloody hell!!! this is exactly what was said to myself and my oh. my son comes home from school upset because the teacher NEVER chooses him to answer questions, when i challenged the teacher she said it was because he knew all the answers and he needed to give other children a chance!!!!! he then took to shouting out the answers so he got a bit of recognition and then got into trouble for that!!!!! i was told his reading ability wasnt normal for a child his age (5 years) as he can very easily read you the daily newspaper!!!!!!! bloody cheek of them. he still needs to be included!!!!!!

I must agree! id get a relative of mine and book a viewing appointment. taking along your relative is less suspicious!!!!! defo something wrong!
