this is going slower than i hoped it would i have had the virus going around all of sheffield so only just got the gravel washed today. i had a look at my fluval 3+ filter and the yellow stick thing is down which i read means the filter is blocked. i tried cleaning it out and noticed the foam was pretty black at the top and clean at the bottom. give it all a clean with a tooth brush but the clog indicator is still down. ive gopt a feeling its something dumb but my brain isnt working at all at the moment...

thanks again for the advice, i know i have a juwel 1000 tank. im going to go to sheffield aquatics one day this week. I have some gravel in the tank from the previous owner (bought it 2nd hand for £60), and was thinking of adding some rocks, wood and sand. does anyone know if fishless cycling is easy to do? im going to order a test kit today for when i get it all sorted

Thank you for all the advice. I have had a little read on a few sites and read about the nitrogen cycle? i take it im going to have to get my water tested every other week or is there something i can buy to test levels at home?

I am the proud owner of a new 3' fishtank but dont have the foggiest of what to do with it. Im hoping to have tropical fish swimming around and i have the heater, filter and air pump. I have heard i may have to condition the water? Im willing to be patient and not rush into putiing fish into an enviroment that will kill them. Can anybody give me some advice?

so you couldnt use the wireless function like you could with a lan cable? i remember my friend had his xbox linked to the internet through his pc with a static connection, you cant do something like that?

Im a not very good at this networking lark and was wondering if its possible to share an internet connection wirelessly without a wireless router? I have a wired router for linking up my pc and xbox 360 but i have a wifi laptop too. I was thinking i could use a usb wifi adapter plugged into my pc to give the internet to the laptop? Is it possible and is it hard to do, even for a dunce like me?

I dont think Collymore was a better player than Chris Sutton. You know what you get with Sutton were Collymore was too inconsistent. He has failed at every club he has been at but ask Celtic or Blackburn fans what they think of Sutton and they will tell you he is a great player.
