He isn't complaining and it isn't BS. You are wrong. Most working people now are highly unlikely to ever be able to afford a home. Housing in UK is deliberately kept scarce and as a consequence slums have remerged.

I have relatives in Haringey and my brother lives on the notorious Pepys Estate in Deptford which is at least 90% black, and locally known as mini Detroit. His black friends, neighbours are routinely stopped, searched and humiliated by the Met, they tried to frame my mate for burglary (no previous for anything) when he wasn't even in London at the time of alleged offence!
