The Old Crown has Phil Marshall a live acoustic guitarist playing he has been signed in America. Phil is from Northern England. His music is influenced by U2, Nirvana, Lemonheads, Radiohead, Tom Waits, Counting Crows and The Beatles. He has recorded two albums at Abbey Road Studios in London, one of only a handful of independent artists ever allowed to do so. He charted the single ‘Gravity’ to 152 on FMQB AAA and stayed in the top 200 for 10 weeks. Charted the same single to 83 on tripleAmusic… without major label support. starts at 7pm

80's night without the cheese is this possible
t/lis replied to t/lis's topic in Going out in Sheffield
Cheers for that but as we have an intimate venue (on the small side ) only fitting around 80 people in I think it would be perfect to bring somthing a bit different whilst not feeling you are one of a few who enjoy this type of music -

Flares and reflex have the cheesy 8o's sewn up, dont know about 80's rock although I love it the bar is aiming more towards a different syle of music. Thanks through and if anyone knows of dj's playing or can play 80's break beats, funk, house please let me know -
We are wanting to put on an 80's night with out cheesy music I know there were some great tunes that came from the 80's but it is only rememberd for its big hair and cheesy music I would like to try and put a night on that is themed around the eightys but need some help.
