  1. As tickets cant be sold on selling pages. What do fans of home games do if they cant attend a game and have a season ticket?
  2. I'm looking to get my timing belt and water pump replaced on Audi A3 2ltr tdi 2012. Anyone know any good mechanics or garages which are reasonably priced and can be relied upon to do a good job?
  3. Looking to get my clutch replace on a corolla 2004 1.4 d4d (e12) Pretty sure this is the noise and it appears to be slipping slightly. Anybody reccomend a reliable garage and approximate price for the part & labour?

  5. I heard bothrord has a clause in his contract that he must play 70 mins of each game, may be some truth in it as he was subbed on 72 last night and on his past performances he should no be starting, lazy, uninterested......
  6. Unfortunately some idiot has splashed our car with some kind of paint stripper and i need it repairing before the weather gets at it, the frustrating thing its small pieces in (one in some parts to the roof, boot, back doors. Its a 51 renault clio in red (not metalic). Can anyone reccomend a sprayer as it needs to be viable to have it done, its not an insurance job it will be at a cash price. I realise itd difficult to price without seeing ot so i can bring it or photograph it.
  7. Nottingham is on its knees, and wont be there much longer i feel, Coventry is shut!!, and has a rescue bid just starting and Humberside is also, back firmly against the door, money from the bucket and spade is what HUY crave, CHC do not offer PAX or landing tonnage, as soon as the market picks up and MAG can get a decent price it will be offloaded in their persuit of the scottish depot to the group. Its not argument but cold hearted fact, i have lived it, worked it, and breathed it all for the past 15 years. Sheffield city airport is a pipe dream, the site lacks ambition and the site cannot sustain growth on the scale Sheffielders would expect. To fund a new airport in sheffield would be political suicide for the council, they dont have enough ££££££ to even plan something on that scale. Sheffield is 50 miles to Humberside / Manchester and East Midlands, if you thing a new start up will have the catchment area to hit these players, you can give me a wave when you trot off to the funny farm. The holiday experience starts with the airport experience, shops, bars, aircraft, flights. Unfortunately SCA never offered any of it, or were in a position where they would have been able to. The council did the best thing for once, kept clear of something they know nothing about. People should do the same when they are not privy to the inner workings of private businesses, P Prune gives gossip though.
  8. Tony, London city is on the edge of the country a stones throw from mainland europe, the 200 odd miles north takes its toll on fuel and prices. A small business class jet to USA!! and what price would that be sir? not in the normal price range, unless you get 6 up on a saturday night. A airport business can not support the odd private business jet popping in and out, parking, passenger tax / concesions / etc make up the money, not a business man walking therough a nice shiny box because its convenient. I take it your a privateer pilot who would use it, and not a punter who wants to get away on a bucket and spade holiday from their local site down the road, as this is what an airport needs to function. Large aircraft / plenty of facilities / long runway to take the full flights with baggage and fuel quants. Many of the major retail outlets you see at East Mids / Manchester / Birmingham, will NOT look at an airport operating below 5 million passengers per year, FACT. By the way, the ILS system at Sheffield was purchased second hand. The facility was state of the art for the size and bluff that was being pulled, but only a couple of years in there were models built of the runway ending at the tower with business park being the focus. Suziface, The airport land was sold for a penny on the proviso that the open cast was filled in and an airport was built on the site and remained in place for ten years. Look at what they got for a penny and the investment they put into the units, the terminal was a shell which was and is now fitted out with office space. Ten years later it was taken to the council to wind it up, suprise suprise. The interest from the airlines was there as Sheffiled boasted flag carrying names, KLM/Sebina/British Airways, the plan was backfiring because it would have been a success if built or expanded to the requirements, but it was never about being an airport long term, hence they were put off by the airport and they went away.
  9. It was all about the land deal, the airport was never going to be anything other than a means to an end. The runway isnt long enough to ever dream of taking aircraft for holiday destinations, only being able to take the 146 whisper jet was never going to make a reasonable profit, or turn it into the next East Midlands, i just wish people would stop belly aching about it and see it for what it was, a sound business deal for Andrew Sebere and his gang. The airport was based on a carbon copy of London city, but London city has the people wanting the short hop to get into London for business, Sheffield is hardly the business mans dream. I am in a very good position to talk for hours on this subject as i know all the nuts & bolts of the airports history, being part of it from conception to meltdown gives me the privelage to know a thing or too.
  10. Does anyone know if there are any Dog fosterers locally? We have a young weimeraner girl, and some of the kennels we have seen dont offer the type of care we are expecting. She is active and like to be out and about
