thanks for the help so far. Does anyone know anything about Pilsley nr Chesterfield or Pleasley near Mansfield? A bit out of Sheffield I know but not too far and there appear to be some nice properties there. I'm after something semi rural/village with a decent local pub and good links to the M1 so partner can get to Nottingham and I can get in to Sheffield Any new comments on the above really would be much appreciated BH

Partner starts a new job in Nottingham soon so we are looking to move to a nice village in between Sheff and Nottingham. Anyone got any suggestions for anywhere that is nice and close to the M1, within reasonable commute? Thanks

Anyone do this commute for work? I have the chance of a job just off junction 26 and live near junction 32 in sheffield. What is the journey time like at about 8am in the morning? Thanks

The only way on to the M18 junction is by coming on at J31 and using the hard shoulder. If you join at an earlier junction you are blocked from moving across to join the M18 and have to follow a diversion You should therefore be ok if you get on at 31 and then straight off again at the M18 Hope this helps
