Thieving scrotes are back at S35. Chapeltown this time. Just woke up to find some ****ehawk has nicked the lead flashing off the bay window. Only woke up because I heard water coming through and when I looked out of the upstairs window onto wooden planks instead of a roof, the penny dropped. Beware people. Thieving scum.

Garryn If you drive down Whitley Lane to the junction with Elliott Lane, you can turn back up Elliott Lane and come out on the A61 just before Bracken Hill, and avoid floods in Greno Woods. It was dodgy at Tankersley earlier on so I don't know how it is there now. Do NOT go past the turning for Elliott Lane or you'll end up underwater! Watch out for the demolished wall too. It is flooded but only an inch or so. This is the way I came home. I went to pick up my gf after she abandoned her car and waded upto her thighs on Rutland Road. I picked her up near the Timbertop and was back at Burncross in 20 minutes. Good luck!

There's only one place you need to know - Legends, at Chapeltown - 0114 2844138. It's down Lane End, next to the Mayflower Chinese, on the way to High Green via Lound Side. It's great, well established, has excellent hairdressers, and no I don't work for them! Highly recommended!

When I was a kid, I used to sledge down the Rec, behind The Acorn at Burncross. It was bumpy and I can rememeber hurtling off the front of my sledge at high speed. Hours of fun guaranteed. We had real snow in them days...
