  6. well i have no complaints about supertram, yes they charge a standard fare but if you are only going 2 stops then walk. the further you go the cheaper. I pay monthly same as halibut does and use my pass outside of travelling to work. First mainline are far more expensive. They also have a minimum charge for short distance, so do taxis as well.

  11. I am going to apologise now because i know people who post on this thread are not going to like this, but its just my opinion and i dont mean any malice. Most of my single parent friends work at least 16 hours and above each week they claim tax credits and in some cases housing benefit. Me i am a single person no children i am on a low wage but i am on the theshhold and unable to claim nothing. My friends who are single parents and work can afford much more than i can, they have at least 1 or 2 holidays a year, some have a car, they have nice cloths and the kids are all well fed and clothed etc etc, how can that be i dont know, i know i would be better off as a single working parent but i dont have children by choice. Then there is the single parents who dont work, ok so you dont have much money, you say single parents are better off on benefits but why should people like myself and single working parents pay our taxes to keep people on benefits of any kind including those with children. I could go on, its not a personal thing against any indivdual its just how i see it. I do think there should be state pre schools which are free to low income families so they can go out to work, i like the working tax credits and the child tax credits because it allows people to work. just think the government needs to sort out child care which is expensive) also they could do with after school clubs which would help to.x
  12. if you click on the link it tells you, but its south side of sheffield
  13. Try below website i know they have a big junior section http://www.sheffield-collegiate-cc.org.uk/
  14. well that is rubbish not letting you know etc, i am a member of SIV and use hillsborough and ponds, i have no real complaints and its good value for money, yes they do get busy and sometimes they dont put on enough classes on those in high demand. that is my only complaint. This new gym that is replacing FF mmmmm there web site not much info there, i would get phoning FF about your memberships and stop DD and standing orders.
  15. i think it is a great idea, however what about us who suffer with mental health and are under 55 years. I work in mental health leaning disabilites but i also have mental health myself and for me i feel there is not much support out there. But activities it is proven that excersise does improve mental health, such as walking why not set up walking or direct people to a number of walking groups such as http://shamblers.forumotion.co.uk/ and http://www.wfh.naturalengland.org.uk/region/yorkshire-humber. As i say there is loads out there for mental health learning disabilities. So may be those who suffer with depression, bipola etc be aware that aiming for over 55 may excluding those in between whom may benefit more ie 25 + or maybe you have different days for different age groups. Get people in ie who do alternative therapisies (some may give discount etc for a group booking).
  16. Advertise. Use on here, get in touch with the star stuff like that.
  17. ok i know little long winded but my point is the drivers should take all lost property, not leave it for passengers to hand in. Thank you miss s 83. i use to use the forum all the time and now post very little and now i remember Why i stopped using it as much.
  18. yep went to the police station today reported it now stolen, (that is what the police said) because someone did pick it up. Worse thing is not one person at the bus company asked for details from me in case it is handed in.
  19. Thank you all, i mean the main bus company in sheffield.
  20. Sat i lost i dropped my purse on the bus. I realized within minutes of getting off the bus so i went straigt to the office on ponds street, the women (very helpful) was able to get in touch with the driver of the bus who said oh yes a passenger has picked it up and is handing it in at the information travel in the bus station. So i went up no not been handed in as of yet, to cut a long story short the purse has not been handed in. First mainline say they dont have a policy for drivers to ask passengers to hand it over to themselves. I find that a person who says they have found a person to the driver and the driver does not ask to hand it over, in the day and age of people of fraud etc.
  21. Understand both league and union, will stick with the union. I watch sheffield rugby union at abbeydale sports club.
