HI Linda I remember my gran making toffee for bonfire night, and we used to sit on the chairs untill they gradually dissapeared onto the fire , not sure what went off in the top lavvy maybe I was too busy eating the toffee to notice.

Hi sharkw I went to carbrook school then on to firth Park Geoff Peacock rings a bell I am not sure about the flower twins where did they live.

does anyone remember any of these names Jill Witham , David Hanson, Judy Marvel, Freddy Keyworth, Alan & Susan Fiddler, Womacks family, Wilden Family, Phillip Gregory most of these lived on Bright Street or Bee Street

I remember miss renshaw very scary woman I was so glad when I moved out of her class . Do you remember mr marshall I dont think he ever used the cane but he made you suffer in others ways like having to stand in the corner on one leg or holding your arms out at shoulder level but he was much better than miss renshaw.

Yes Cyber I think that must be it , he used to sell dripping sandwhiches I think he made them as you ordered them and hot vimto drinks you could buy sweets as well , it was only a small shop but I think there used to be two stools you could sit on while having your drinks .
