  1. Tried the Turkish barber in Dronfield Woodhouse for the first time recently and he used the lighted taper business. I didn't really understand why he did it until I read up about it online. However, if I go there again, I shall specifically ask him not to do it, as it made my tinnitus worse.
  2. I wondered that myself. I guess if you don't want to end up with brain cancer, you need to keep hosing your walls! :-)
  3. Further evidence of the health and trees connection with 5G comes from Piedmont, USA, where people are up in arms because of health effects - and, you've guessed it, the trees are coming down. The firemen were getting head related problems, petitioned to have the 5G transmitters adjacent to the fire station removed and they were removed. Hopefully, for the sake of children there, teachers and parents will petition to have them removed from the vicinity of schools too. There is actually a connection between 5G and health relating to the issue of trees being cut down, as trees absorb pollution from the atmosphere, so cutting them down will make people's health worse, i.e. they will be breathing in polluted air. Do you really think it is just coincidence that the places where the trees are being cut down corresponds to the places where 5G is being introduced? 5G has already been introduced in Gateshead and one effect is that schools are reporting that children's nose bleeds are becoming an almost a daily occurrence, instead of an occasional occurrence. Children are affected by the health implications of 5G more so than adults because their skulls are thinner, allowing more radiation into their heads. ---------- Post added 18-09-2018 at 18:55 ---------- In fact, the walls don't need to be knocked down, as 5G can get through the walls and windows of the houses. However, if the leaves on trees get wet, apparently the 5G signal gets earthed.
  4. Alchemist - yes. See https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/what-is-5g/, where it explains that in the case of small cells, in some cases, the leaves of trees are enough to interrupt a download. Of course, you could ignore the research of Digital Trends and the University of Surrey, if you have carried out more detailed research.
  5. Having embarked on the mass culling of trees in Sheffield (to allow 5G penetration to houses), it is no surprise that Sheffield Council is now bidding to be one of the test centres for 5G.
  6. My mistake: the academic paper I was trying to refer to was actually produced by the University of Surry, the Government and Telefonica. Section 3.1 states "To avoid this shadowing loss and be outside of the Fresnel zone, it is necessary for the tree height to be at least 3m less than the base station height." The paper makes it clear that the high frequency involved in 5G can not penetrate trees of the same height as the transmitter. Hence the need, presumably, for Sheffield / Worcester / Gloucester etc. councils to cut down a vast proportion of the existing trees and replace them with saplings. The link is https://www.surrey.ac.uk/sites/default/files/White-Paper-Rural-5G-Vision_0.pdf.
  7. Obelix asks where the evidence is that trees need to be cut down to enable 5G to get into the adjacent houses. The evidence is in an academic paper produced by Oxford University, the Government and one of the mobile phone providers. It states that for 100% reception of 5G, 100% of the trees need to be cut down. Does Obelix have more technical knowledge of this subject than Oxford University?
  8. As I posted somewhere else on this forum a little while ago, it has been suggested that the real reason for felling massive numbers of street trees in Sheffield is so that 5G can be beamed into people's houses. This theory now seems to be true, as Sheffield is now applying for funding and local support to become a 5G testbed. Hmmm ... what a coincidence.
  9. Have just discovered the real reason 17,500 trees are being removed in Sheffield (with the same thing going on in some other cities). It seems it's to allow the roll-out of 5G mobile phone technology. 5G signals get blocked by the foliage on trees. So as the Government and the Council want the 5G signals to get into people's houses, they need to cut down trees in streets where there are houses. A University of Surrey / Telefonica report (section 3.1) states that for 5G to work 100%, it is necessary for 100% of trees to be removed. Of course, anyone who actually believed that 17,500 trees had suddenly become diseased (as per the official explanation) must be living in la-la land. As trees provide oxygen for the air and filter out CO2 from the air, this tree removal will, naturally, mean the atmosphere will become more polluted and the greenhouse effect and asthma problems will be exacerbated.
  10. I've walked and cycled along the main path that runs parallel to the dual carriageway many times. Also did a walk recently through the wood but further south than you're talking about. However, I haven't explored the particular area you're referring to and so haven't seen the objects you're talking about. I have heard general suggestions that the wood is haunted but don't have any specific details and haven't experienced anything unusual myself. My understanding is that the wood to the west of the dual carriageway is Monk Wood and that there are about three different names for the wood you're referring to (to the east of the dual carriageway), including Barlow Lees Wood. It's anybody's guess which is the right name.
  11. The evidence suggests that for some length of time, the phenomena were genuine but that, later, the children hoaxed some incidents because of diminishing genuine phenomena. ---------- Post added 31-01-2015 at 13:53 ---------- Bedrock: The SPR seems to be mainly interested in having academically qualified people in its membership. As an alternative, you may wish to consider joining ASSAP (see http://www.assap.ac.uk), which encourages the ordinary man in the street, whether qualified or not, to participate in research and investigations. You may possibly also be interested in the meetings of Chesterfield Psychic Study Group (see http://www.cpsg.co.uk).
  12. At one time (a few decades ago) a number of double-decker buses were made designed to go under low bridges and they avoided the problem people are talking about here because they had, on each row, a long, 4 person seat upstairs and an aisle on the right that was dropped down below the lower deck ceiling level. Thus tall people could still walk along the upper deck. The only low headroom was above the seats. Crosville used some of these. Brings back memories. Having said that, it's in situations like this thread is discussing that I'm sometimes glad I'm not tall.
  13. Just shows how daft the Lib Dems are, i.e. more interested in protecting criminals than decent people.
  14. Did anyone out there go to Ian R Crane's recent presentation at Shiregreen Community Centre? Well, I know lots of people were there, of course - but don't know whether any of you guys were there. The presentation was about the impending global economic collapse, which according to Mr Crane's conspiracy theory, is being deliberately brought about by Zionists. One feature of this theory is that this group wishes to reduce the World's population to half a billion. Mr Crane quoted the Georgia Guidestones as evidence of this. However, according to Wikipedia, the Georgia Guidestones were probably built by Rosicrucians, who seem to be allied loosely to Protestants - not Zionists. So is there really a group of Zionists who wishes to dramatically reduce the World's population?
  15. vResistance: It seems you're right about Lizzie Kenworthy. She is still alive. I was misinformed about her being killed. It seems this whole area is shrouded in a mixture of misinformation and disinformation.
