Thank you for your thoughts and advice. As you can imagine my cousin is at the end of her tether, she's desperate to move to somewhere more conducive to her health needs. Hopefully she will get answers from her solicitor and is prepared to pull out. At least I know the first question she will ask next time!

Hi, My cousin is buying a retirement flat and has a buyer for her house. However the sale appears to be delayed as the family selling the flat have a dispute over the previous owner's will. Can anyone explain why the family taking this to probate and now to the High Court should delay the completion of the sale. Surely the sale could be completed and the money frozen (or whatever). Why should it concern my cousin as it is a family matter. Does anyone have any suggestions how this could be solved.

Hi, we have a Honda Stepwagon. It seems the seat belts are made for little people and unfortunately we aren't little. We bought some extenders but the buckles are not compatible. Can someone point me in the direction of solutions please.

Hungry Buddha Nepalese food unit at Moor Market
daisy2 replied to happyaslarry's topic in Going out in Sheffield
As everyone else says the food is delicious and the owner is very friendly. He told me when he first opened it was more 'Nepalese' but it was too spicy for most people so he has toned it down. When I went he gave us a small portion of each dish on his menu for £5 - goat, chicken and green bean curries plus dhal etc. -
Aargh, hundreds came through the patio paving yesterday, it was horrible to watch.

Knights In Battle are at Oughtibridge Gala Sat 27 June

Hi, the link doesn't seem to be working. -
As someone has previously mentioned once a house is sold it is re-evaluated. When we bought our property last year we received a letter informing us of this process seemingly out of the blue. We were fearing the worst but fortunately the extension done since the original valuation did not significantly alter the size of the house and we only went up one band. I don't think any solicitor could predict the outcome of the valuation during conveyancing. I can understand your predicament and I hope you manage to afford your house.

Any memories of the sidewalk cafe chapel walk
daisy2 replied to slotter47's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
I was discussing the Sidewalk with a friend just the other day! They did lovely scones and coffee. It was a good place for people watching. -

CFS/ME do you work, if so how employers help
daisy2 replied to Jillybabes's topic in Disability & Carers Group
Hi Jillybabes, don't despair I managed to continue working. I talked to my manager and also contacted the Disability Employment Advisor (DEA) at the Jobcentre because she was not really helpful. The DEA was very clear on 'reasonable adjustments' and what could be available under the Access to Work scheme. I got help with taxis as I couldn't drive and the bus journeys were tiring me. As yours is such a physical job it may be that you will struggle with pacing yourself (doing a little, resting, carrying on) and then taking it easier when you're not at work but maybe you have a full day looking after your own household as well. Would there be a possibility of changing jobs through your organisation? If not, again the DEAs may be able to give advice and support you in looking for a new job. Don't rush into anything, especially giving up your job without checking things out first. -
brick wall, 4 upvc window units (non-opening) fitted with glass, upvc roof structure with polycarbonate sheets. It's probably about 10 foot long ---------- Post added 16-04-2014 at 19:32 ---------- Thanks ccit. What type of tradesman could give a quote for the work, we talked to one place who fit conservatories but it's not the type of work they would do.

Hi, The Nine Ladies Standing Circle is still there on Stanton Moor

HI, a few years ago I used to do the journey from Killamarsh to Stocksbridge every day on my little moped with no problems - apart from when it came to the cold weather and I had to be prised off it! The only drawback can be going up steep hills but you can always find an easier route.

Blayton Road Pitsmoor strange house numbering
daisy2 replied to bensonhedges's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
Hi, I lived on Blayton Road in the 70s. There are entries to the backs of four houses on Scott Road then there used to be a number of garages which were built on an orchard owned by a local man. These were later sold for building the newer semis. There then used to be a couple of shops - butchers and greengrocers. The next lot of semis are pre-war (along with those on Kirton Road) and I presume could have been part of the orchard. But as to the numbering I have no idea. As far as I know the only bomb damage locally was on Scott Road, at the junction with Kirton Road, when the Co-op had a direct hit. -

Hi, I sometimes request furniture for others in the course of my work. The goods are donated so to some extent it is pot luck but so far everyone has been pleased with the help. In my experience there is a small delivery charge (£5?). Hope you get what you need and it is of use until you are in a position to choose what you want.
