That's funny - my brother had exactly the same experience. The way my Mum tells it, there had been such a build up to 'going to school' that after his first day, that was the end of it - he'd BEEN to school, and was so proud of himself for getting through the ordeal. He was then mortified to discover he had to go back the next day, and every day for the next 13 years!
