Popped in for the first time today to have a look, not bad BUT Getting in and out............... What were they thinking One road in to a t junction, really bad, supprised to say it needs a roundabout inside with filter roads to the various quarters of the site That junction is going to be the main problem for the life of that site and its going to put people off going After that I went to crystal peaks, much easier to get in and out -

Newly resurfaced roads breaking up already
solarman replied to Bob Arctor's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
No, it was a high percentage to be done in the first 5 years, not all roads etc needed doing straight away as many were changed before the pfi, done to a better standard so wont need doing fir many years -

The core 5 year period finishes august this year, by then there must be a high percentage of the work done. The rest should be done in the following 20 years along with maintenance of the network. How it should be left at the end of the 25 years? -
Pavements aren't for people running, they are for cars, vans, bins, skips, cyclists....................

Good idea about a camera above the door, something like this which has ir leds for night vision, you need something to record it onto tho http://www.banggood.com/Car-HD-Rear-View-Wired-Camera-Night-Vision-Waterproof-Reversing-p-74672.html?rmmds=search One of these in the front window would help if you have a clear view, although ir leds would wash out the window ar night http://www.banggood.com/Xiaomi-XiaoFang-1080P-110-F2_0-WiFi-IP-Camera-Night-Vision-8X-Zoom-p-1095214.html?rmmds=search Perhaps you could fit os above the door if you could make waterproof, you only need a us power supply Lots of options, im sure you will find what you need

Why would they dim the street lights down, not to save money surely
-
Actually if you do the research of the council meetings you can get the cost of the schemes from the reports, 10k sometimes is the cost of one of the very large signs on the parkway as it has to be passive safe and would include tm if it cant be included in a regular lane closure Generally signs can start from about £50 inc manufacture and erection
-
There has to be a sign each side of the road into the 20mph zone, at a junction like this where several road converge you are bound to get lots of signs What you should do is look and how many signs in total have been installed, its a lot But if people still dont drive at 20 or its not 'policed', is it really worth it?
