  1. Thanks to Sheffield Forum, a connection of the Lowe family has made contact and brings lots of info, but also more searchings. Hi, I am seeking descendants of Hinchley and Strike Families from Sheffield. Ernest Edward Hinchley married Esther G Strike in 1897. There were two children Vera 1902 and Edward Hinchley 1907. The parents died around 1907/09 (where buried ?) The children were brought up by Hinchleys?, but more likely by Strike relatives. Edward remained in Sheffield. Vera was in Cornwall. Edward Hinchley served in the 39/45 War and was demobed in Sheffield in 1945. He and his family stayed in Upper Valley Road in 1945, with Minnie Strike and Beatrice Strike. Other relatives at the time and in Upper Valley Road were Albert Edward Lowe and wife Constance, cousins of Strike or Hinchley? So now we seek how Hinchleys and Lowes were cousins.? STRIKE A Jane Strike married an Albert Lowe in 1891? and they had Albert Edward Lowe in 1892. We now know the Lowe connection. We seek Jane Strike's parentage and siblings. We believe that Jane (Lowe) Strike then married a Mr Broadhead ? Any info any descendants ? Any other Strike descendants from:- Albert E (b 1873), Susan (b 1880) and Harold (b 1886) ? ---------------------------------------------- HINCHLEY William Hinchley married Emma who? in Chesterfield in 1872. Their children:- Emma G (b 1873), Ernest Edward (b 1875) and Wilfred Job (b 1878) We know the descendancy of Ernest Edward. Any info, descendants from Emma and/or Wilfred. A website covering a lot of the family history, it is at http://freepages.family.rootsweb.com/~hinchleystrike/
