  1. Another vote for Diana Luke , she has been very helpful to me in the past , with depression over my disabilities and the future. In my opinion you couldn't wish for a nicer therapist.
  2. I am so pleased for you , please could you pm me re name of cattery.
  3. I think its easier to bond male and female , not impossible to bond males but its usually birth brothers who bond better
  4. If its been found in the woodseats area , why not contact Huso at Oyes , he lost his alittle while ago .
  5. I had one with this and nearly didn't act Teeny , ami-j and red angel are correct it needs proper treatment.
  6. I personally think that a pet sitter is a great idea, I have used one several times , If you need a recommendation please pm me ,these are the reasons for my statement There is no journey journey in a car to a cattery boarding house or being put into a cat basket which is usually stressful as the cat thinks its time for the vet again! Cat can keep its normal routine, sleeping and eating as usual seeing their usual friends or if a house cat having its own toys to play with in a familiar environment. The cat gets some dedicated/love attention by a visiting Pet Sitter for up to 1 hour twice a day or as many times as you want. Also they will put out rubbish /clean cat trays and make sure your home is safe , removing mail everyday etc also they will close curtains and open them in the morning. Most good pet sitters will have a dedicated vet on call and will also give tender loving care if the cat is ill Finally your cat will not be exposed to other infectious deceases or stress. A good pet sitter is aware of them wanting to be out and will guard against this. Over the last 8 years i have used this kind of service which has always worked for me. I chose some one who is enhanced CRB checked / fully insured and had references that i could check. My cat has been to a nice cattery once but lost weight and was very stressed, cats love their home environment.
  7. I do think that a longer walk in the mornings is helpful, my dog max( no longer with us) was only small but without his morning walk was very naughty, and could be destructive if left without a walk. Labs are in nature working dogs hence high energy so after a sleep will be fully charged! raring to go and play or whatever , I too am a single parent of children of school age and wheelchair bound now Max in his later days had a fantastic dog walker but before i used to always make sure he had at least one hour before dropping my children at school and getting myself to work. Having two dogs of similar age is hard but not impossible, Max was crate trained but was walked at lunch time by my dog walker. The crate was a God send he had his bone in there but was so tired after his run he slept til we got home from school. all I am trying to say is more exercise in the morning along side a smaller meal and feed again a small meal in the evenings ( working dog variety) hope things improve
  8. How much exercise have they had today? If you arn't giving enough exercise then he will react even when left for a short time. However i would crate him when you leave the house this will eliminate chewed lino etc. or another option is to walk in the local park and find some dogs to run around with !
  9. These dogs need more walking and exercise 15 mins isn't enough for them they are after all working dogs , They need a good 1hour at least morning and night ! also try changing diet to something like james well beloved for working dogs it may be better.
  10. agreed ! Have you thought of employing a dog walker for the times you are out? If you Pm me I can recommend a trustworthy lady who is fab with dogs. I would also look to crate them as a dog will not toilet in their own bed! I hope things improve.
  11. Thanks its now sorted, Thanks to rosa I have a fantastic new cage.
  12. I have been given 2 dumbo baby rats , we did have a rat cage which was lent out , and donated to thornberry ! when it should have been returned to us . Does any one have a rat cage for sale? suitable for 2 babies arriving on thursday. please pm me
  13. we have lino on ours which is easy to clean too , my son has tiled the bottom of several cages in the past and used pet friendly sealant to seal it works a treat but far the best way to clean a hutch is a steam cleaner.
  14. have you tried sharron on 07766302492 she looked after my friends cats in stocksbridge twice last year.
