  1. That may be the case, but as you said it is for information, these people are too lazy to take any recommend information on board for the sake of their own safety or that of others.
  2. Do the people of Hillsborough understand the High way code??? Everytime i go to morrisons at Hillsborough i get more annoyed at people driving through the clearly marked 'NO MOTOR VEHICLES' sign just past the petrol station. To go into the store carpark you are ment to turn left! This sign is there for a reason! To avoid accidents! As it makes it difficult for customers to leave the carpark when needing to turn right from the car park aisles to exit the carpark when someone is driving down here at 30 miles per hour. i find that i have to edge out REALLY slowly as the parked cars block the view of this banned route. (this is the part of the carpark along the edge passing the cash points!) So PLEASE dont be lazy drive into this supermarket carpark the correct way-obey the highway code, it is there to protect yourself and others. Afterall it will be your car that will get damaged! Think about it!
  3. My boyfriend had to have an interview for his first passport in feb, He is British, and both his parents are. Was shocked that he had to go for an interview as the adverts say-MAY have to to attend an interview. He just got asked questions on the application form like mother's date of birth etc. He got his passport with a week of the interview.
  4. what does this look like?? where is it likely to be? this could be a possiblity as i have ironing board/brooms etc in the cupboard.
  5. thank you i will give him a ring in the morning, can you remember his call out fees?
  6. don't think this will be the problem as i would just have hot water an hour later. i don't have any at all. it doesn't work on the boost either.
  7. My electric combi boiler (ecomony 7) seems to have packed in. Hence i have no hot water. And washing my hair this am over the sink with boil kettle water is not a prefered option! I have tried to check the timer and it intermitently sounds as if it is heating the water- it clicks and sounds as if heating water, then few mins later all goes quiet again. This happens if i use the boost dial also. i have had some luke warm water for about 10 secs twice this evening. The fault light is not on thou, the green light above is still lit up. Any advice please?? or recommendations on who to call. Thanx
  8. The fulwood Inn at ranmoor is nice. only been there for a drink but the hotel facilities look good. And a good selection on the menu to suit all tastes 1 Tapton Park Road Sheffield S10 3FG England http://www.thefulwoodinnn.co.uk
  9. So i am not the only one who this happens to! how embarasing, i kind of expect it to happen now! last time i managed to stop myself falling as i knew what had happened when my foot did not want to follow-my heel was stuck in the cobbles on west st! It happened to be quite funny as a complete stranger dived to save me! Bless him,
  10. because they are old news- more exciting if you are actually in ibiza! This post just reminded of me when i was in ibiza when 16 and with parents-they put a small one on in corner of a bar-my dad got a little excited and against my mums wishes ran into the foam-only to slip over and fall on his ass! on a concrete floor!! so funny! Dads when they have a pint hey.
  11. Fresh Hair opposite champs is very good, I have been there for about 6 years-very friendly staff and reasonable prices. 300 Ecclesall Rd Sheffield, S11 8PE 0114 266 0096
  12. lol i will have to tell my OH this, that he can no longer play golf! that will save me becoming a golfing widow. And he may stop complaining 3 times a day that the weather is rubbish so he can't play golf!
  13. thanks for the reply. my boyfriend tells me this happened at the store in nottingham and it was a couple of years ago so things may be different now. i'll tell him to give your husband a ring and hopefully he can get sorted out
  14. thanks for the reply, that place is not too far away so ill tell him to pop down and see what they have. if they have to order shoes in do you HAVE to buy them? he's been to american golf in the past and they said if you order them in you have to buy them. not much use if they don't fit !!!
  15. my boyfriend has had problems with different shoe manufacturers varying in size so would rather try them on before buying.
  16. any ideas? my boyfriend is finding it impossible to find a size 13 pair of golf shoes. Even if the shops display that they sell a style on the shelves up to a size 13 they never have any in stock. The shops that we we have tried many don't seem to be able to have control of their own stock these days-the warehouse just sends out stock to each store dependant on sales. so ordering a pair in does not seem possible. Does anyone work in a sports shop that can help? Or bought a pair of golf shoes in this size recently. thanx
  17. phone up vodaphone and tell them you are changing provider. i did this with O2 and they gave me a £35 a month contract for £25 and a £50 phone for free. worth a try! good luck.
  18. i know the food is unhealthy, not saying it was the best meal i have had i expected burgers and chips. it was more the atmosphere and friendly and happy staff i was complimenting. It makes the experience better if the staff are enthusiastic.
  19. I have just done this search-i hope the link works. http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/results.shtml?n=&st=&tc=sheffield&pc=&country=GB&rating=&p=on&search=search
  20. Had a meal at TGI fridays on a sat evening a few weeks ago and i must say i was really impressed! i have never visited this american style resturant before and was a little unsure before i went. I was pleasently surprised. The atmosphere was exciting, great for kids (especially if its their birthday! As the staff sing happy birthday to them-this did happen about 5 times during our stay) The food was good, the Jack Daniels sesame chicken strips were lovely. I would say a little expensive however the two courses for £10 is a great deal (mon-thurs) The decor was colorful with an american theme. The guys at the cocktail bar were very friendly and enjoyed showing off their bar skills. Over all the staff really seemed to be enjoying their jobs which is great to see. And our waitress Selina was great, she was very friendly and efficent even though it was clear that she was very busy!
  21. good question, it is one i have been trying to find out my self. The cavendish has about four towards the back, probally not in that great a condition though-not dreadful though. i believe there are plans to open a rileys on west street (oppersite walkabout) there has been a sign up for ages but i haven't seen or heard anything as of yet to say when it opens.
  22. i really don't understand why they didn't take the supertram at least up to the hallamshire hospital, the university stop is so popular with many walking up the hill to the hallamshire, jessops wing, children's hospital, dental and also western park hospital. This is ok for the able bodied but alot of people attending hospital would have difficulty walking this distance. As many know the parking is limited around this area and the bus service not always frequent. So an extention to the tram service to cater for these hospitals would reduce traffic in the area greatly.
  23. sorry that was ment to be nice venue!! lol:)
  24. have you tried baldwins omega, think they cater for small parties about £25 per head nice vence have alook at their web page
