  1. Waterfront Report

    Great new facility down at Wath/Manvers. Easy to get to, tonnes of parking and the team behind it run Cookridge Hall in Leeds which is very well-run and has had substantial investment.

    The range building is fantastic. Automatic doors lead to a bar area with a lounge and the golf shop on the other side. All obviously spanking new and very impressive. Staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you.

    The range is superb. Card system in operation for balls (all of which are brand new) and the mats are great. The range has distances marked off and various targets. Also its massively long and floodlit at night.

    The senior teaching pro is Tony Tomlinson. Tony was previously Assistant to Pete Cowen at Lindrick and has taught at various places (Leeds Golf Centre/Dubai/Bondhay). He really knows his stuff and is very enthusiastic. I had a lesson from him while I was there and he was very knowledgable.

    Overall the place is great. The 9 hole course I didnt get to see though I think again from the views I got it looked impressive. All told it looks a very professional operation. The team behind it I know from playing at Cookridge Hall in Leeds and if they keep the standards up as they have done there it will be a great addition to the local facilities for golfers.

    Sorry if that sounded like an infomercial. There just wasnt anything even I could fault!

    I think Ill give it a try:thumbsup::cool:
