  1. I wasn't just on about covering up, I was on about respect in general.
  2. I for one will be a definite Foot traffic customer, especially in the run up to Christmas as I've only got to walk back round the corner with my shopping. I have been a couple of times on foot and a couple of times in car when we were fetching heavier stuff.
  3. Strange that whenever I'm waiting for 24 or 25 in town, there is always at least a couple of number 3 buses pull up, Load up and leave before my bus even arrives, as I see them that often I thought they must be a quite frequent route.
  4. Why is having respect for others an old fashioned view, I'm in my late 30s and was brought up to have respect for others and treat others with respect. If people are taught basic things like having respect for each other then it's no wonder the world is going to hell in a handbasket.
  5. I'm of larger size and on occasions whilst it has been warm I have walked over to the Norton and Sat in the beer garden and met my partner when he has finished work at tea time. We don't have children together. I've even been walking around graves Park to keep active as it is further away than lowedges/Greenhill park ad walked around the ponds there. Yes I do know who the famous five were, Dick Annne Julian George (georgina) Timmy the dog I used to love reading their books with my parents or grandparents as a child. So please don't stereotype and judge US overweight people as thick.
  6. Just passed depot and the picket line was non existent, wonder if they are having a sunday morning lie in.
  7. Lowedges festival is not a tin pot festival. It attracts loads of visitors and has a variety of stuff going on.
  8. Ive noticed since both companies have had the newer buses that the braking seems a lot harsher than previously, which isnt good for people with chronic pain. I find i am bracing myself for the driver to brake.
  9. There is no coincidence, the union knows tramlines will be busy, no point striking on a quiet day.
  10. When the pets at home opens, the one at heeley shuts, the next at heeley has already shut, so wonder how long heeley retail park will stay open.
  11. I meant there isnt at supertram. ---------- Post added 10-07-2018 at 01:40 ---------- Red len is on a lot more than his members, some who seem to blindly follow him.
  12. There is no unsocial hours payment or weekend pay, my partners daughter works in retail and doesn't get it for working weekends.
  13. Could be people not in union, training dept or managers running these trams. Souter and the people he has working for him are well known for wasting excessive amounts of money to try to cover strikes or break strikes as hes not a fan of unions.
  14. I think you are right about an impasse, as this could rumble on as len mccluskey at Unite is bragging they have a 35m strike fund.
  15. Because they don't want people to have something nice, I'm sure they wouldn't want people spraying their property.
  16. What happened to seventh then, has pets at home opened yet.
  17. Or weeded out those that followed the company policies and collected revenue and asked unwilling passengers to pay as the company sees them as potential fare paying passengers or weeded out the ones with genuine health problems and even diseases such as cancer. They aren't bad pay rates for a job you can walk into with no academic qualifications. A team leader job in care which requires you to have an nvq level 2 or 3 or similar qualifications my other half saw advertised online other day was 8.50 an hour, with this you are responsible for your residents and your team of support workers. My dad started on the buses in early 80s when it was Yorkshire traction in rotherham and barnsley and he had to work years to get what they called the old man rate..
  18. Well if they aren't in the union I'm guessing the management would expect them to provide some kind of service as they didn't vote for strike action.
  19. For some people it is useful knowing where vegan food is served as they have dairy allergies or intolerances not fads, so they know they are safe with vegan foods. ---------- Post added 05-07-2018 at 07:13 ---------- Do steel city cakes, make any cakes without milk or dairy products in and do burgerlolz do any Freakshakes that are dairy free.
  20. That would also depend on how many are in union.
  21. That's the team I meant couldn't remember if I had heard has or hart, deafness doesn't help lol, knew they covered all of Yorkshire and attended chemical incidents, there were 3 or 4 of their vans there. That's the programme.
  22. They were with the paramedic incident response vans, so they werent your normal everyday paramedics, think they call them has team or something like that from programmes i have seen about that they get sent to stabbings, shootings, dealings with chemicals, major traumas, mountain rescue type accidents etc. ---------- Post added 29-06-2018 at 15:08 ---------- I looked on the star web site before making this post and then contacted them, so they must have sent someone up.
  23. Not far from where the stabbing was a few weeks ago, yhe police have got the road taped off. Several police cars present, also 2 fire engines and several incident response paramedics present. 2 paramedics sat in road stopping cars and two sat on grass stopping pedestrians walking that way. The paramedics were waiting on further instructions from the police. The crew of paramedics talking to pedestrians had been sent from rotherham. So it must be something requiring specialist skills.
