  1. Not that it matters, I don't consider the width of 6 cars to be "some distance".
  2. I am the source of the image, and this is the best shot of the van I have. The numberplate at its most visible is completely illegible.
  3. Any idea of the name, or even a word from the name?
  4. For what it's worth, the van was in S1 in the centre of town at 15:30 on Monday this week.
  5. This is all good, please keep them coming. Will advise why when I feel I can.
  6. I'm not sure I can tell you right at the moment, I'm sorry.
  7. Does anyone recognise the logo on the side of this van? It's quite an obvious logo and if you recognise it you'll know it instantly, but as I don't recognise it it's *just* too fuzzy to make out. http://imagebin.org/111144
  8. Dell to get precisely what you want built for you with a slight price premium. Toshiba for not necessarily precisely what you want but guaranteed quality. I don't recommend anyone else as you will find you get what you pay for and more often than not manufacturers cheap-out on the RAM and it makes for a huge performance bottleneck.
  9. To clarify for the OP: Windows gets slower with age, primarily because it's based on a flawed design in storing all its configuration in a single (very poor) database called the registry. The computer hardware doesn't get slower (or at least that you'd notice) so long as it continues to work. Given that I barely use Windows, I don't have a problem with old machines. Slackware runs on nearly all of them and they still work as beautifully as when they were new.
  10. ebuyer suck hard. dabs suck less hard, but still suck. scan don't suck, have good customer service; but higher prices. microdirect is my preference for general stuff like this.
  11. Probably requires unlock. Speak to your dealer or a garage that advertises radio unlocking.
  12. Not strictly Sheffield, but close enough.. I've been living in the Worksop area for 6 months and not had a Chinese yet.. Could really go for one but I don't want to pick one at random and be disappointed. Anyone got any recommendations from experience?
  13. Waste of time. 64MB RAM is your problem. Damn Small Linux or Slackware-10.2 might work reasonably well.. so long as you like browsing in elinks, which is no better than WinCE is giving you now. With a nice old 2.4 kernel you *might* get a vaguely usable X running inside 64MB, but dont even bother with a recent 2.6 kernel like you'd find in any current distro, it's a terminal or nothing.
  14. All you have to do is keep hold of the recovery disc or recovery partition so that should you need your warranty you can put the disk back how you found it before requesting warranty service. Then run whatever you want on it.
  15. Unplug your external USB hard disk and reboot.
  16. Same here actually. Had 1mbit Down, 800kbps up on ADSL2 in remote area. One iPlate later it's 3mbit down, 1mbit up.
  17. Recommendations? Usual suspects seem to have nothing between them other than maybe a fiver. Only need it for one day, early start - late finish.
  18. Yeah, I've had the delight of spending all night at work bringing the network back into shape after the power cut.
