Traffic problems Burncross Road Chapeltown
waddy13 replied to blade77's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Lights under manual control this morning (0700). I`ll stand corrected but I was under the impression that all temp lights have to now have a sign displaying a 24hr emergency number in case of problems with them. -
So you were riding along for about 10 secs looking at a bird in the sky? and cyclists wonder why they get slagged off on here:rant:

I seem to recal that there has been recent discussion in the press that some manufacturers say this problem is caused by the location of the fridge being too cold, e.g. room cools down too much during the night. T`old grey matter is getting a bit weak now so can`t remember where I read it but it wasn`t too long ago. A google search may throw up more info.

If I remember correctly the AA introduced this surcharge, for joining when broken down, sometime in the early 1990`s. So it must be one of the worlds longest running "scams" ever.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-32429649 If this guy looses in Supreme court it will prob be most expensive parking ticket ever!! dread to think what he will have to pay in costs if he looses again. Do the crime pay the fine/invoice it`s a lot cheaper -

Private Parking Ticket Megathread (Part 2)
waddy13 replied to kirkbylad's topic in General Discussions
My bold:- I would imagine when the car park was marked out they assumed that motorists are intelligent enough to know where NOT to park so as to obstruct access to loading areas or where traffic flow is impeaded by their stupid parking. I would assume the clearly positioned signs around the parking area clearly state words to the effect of "park in marked bays only". Once again we have a driver who can`t be a###d to park properley and then comes on here moaning about the consequences. Wether it is council or private parking if you obey the rules and use some COMMON SENSE you won`t get a fine/pcn/speculative invoice will you. -
