  13. Hey, Sarbo, The 197 Club is opposite the (Uni of Sheffield) Arts Tower, and a bit before the Octagon. It's a few yards on from that huge roundabout. The Club is at number 197 - hence the name. They may have Josep's tel. no. or e-mail address, but otherwise try getting in touch with the language (German) dept of the uni. I know it's still a bit vague, but I think you should be able to come up with something from there. Viel Glueck. Sheena
  14. There used to be (and I believe still is) a 'Deutscher Stammtisch' at the 197 Club, loosely affiliated with the University of Sheffield. I think the name of the guy who runs it now is Josep Korbar. They used to meet on Wednesday evening. They may be having a break during August, though. Hope this is of some use. Sheena at Every Dance

  20. Hiya, Prettyinpink, If it's of any help, I will be starting up Cuban Salsa/Rueda and Latin Dance classes (with a couple of other teachers) on Thursday evenings beginning on 3rd August. You don't need to bring a partner with you. Some women dance lead (you could give it a go if you want) as well as men. If there are more leaders than followers, the ladies get rotated so that everybody gets to practise the moves. The classes will be at Smithy Wood Working Men's Club in Woodseats (Sheffield S8). I also teach a lot of other dance styles - many of which aren't partner dances, so you can come by yourself anyway. If you'd like more information my tel number is 01909-566831. My e-mail is: [email protected] (website to match). Hope that's of any use. Good luck with your quest. Sheena at Every Dance
